One of the biggest studios across the globe, Marvel Studio is immensely popular for its actor, artists, editors and VFX team. It is undeniable fact that Marvel enjoys a massive fan following and comics are just a part of it. The cinematic universe indeed brings large numbers and almost every superhero film shook the box office, around the world.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe movies are considered one of the best visual works that are loved by millions of fans in theatres. The true fans of Marvel know what contribution is made by the VFX team in the movies. However, it seems like a part of the industry is not willing to collaborate with them.
Fans must know that MCU has often faced backlash for some recent projects that are not up to the standards. Recently, fans called out Marvel for poor VFX and poor treatment given to VFX artists. The latest Marvel film, Thor: Love and Thunder received criticism and has been targeted lately. The discussion arose when the trailer of She-Hulk was dropped in May this year. Fans disliked the trailer majorly because of the visual poor quality and animation, similarly to what they did with Hulk.
What Marvel VFX Team Has To Say
In the latest news, a bunch of people have come forward to express the working atmosphere inside Marvel. They called it stressful to work with Marvel as a VFX artist with deadlines. One of the users at Reddit has to say, “Yup. I request to not work on them, movies, and TV shows. Unfortunately they’re becoming the biggest client. They expect a smorgasbord of options so they can change their mind 3 more times”.
“I am on my third Marvel project in a row and literally just woke up 5.30 am on a Saturday with stress going “I don’t want to do this anymore”. I don’t give a sh*t if the Marvel fanboys eat it up and make Marvel billions (we don’t see any of that anyway). All you get from Marvel movies is stress and nothing else”, one of the ex-employees wrote.
