Mandy Moore Is Pregnant With Her First Child! Expecting A Baby Boy with Husband Taylor Goldsmith
Mandy Moore is going to be a mom! The “This is Us” actress and her husband Taylor Goldsmith recently announced that they are expecting their first child together. And it’s a Baby Boy!
Both Moore and Goldsmith took to their respective social media accounts sharing a beautiful set of black-and-white photos featuring the couple beaming, as they lovingly cradle Moore’s baby bump.
“Baby Boy Goldsmith coming early 2021 ????,” the mom-to-be wrote in her caption. Goldsmith shared a similar announcement on his own Instagram account. Their newest addition will be both Moore and Goldsmith’s first child.
Moore’s surprise pregnancy reveal was met with a lot of excitement and love from her “This Is Us” family and fans. Susan Kelechi Watson commented, “Baby’s comingggggg” with several heart emojis, while the official account for the show wrote, “Congratulations, queen!”
“Me and Mandy gonna have a little baby boy!”
Goldsmith, who is the lead vocalist and guitarist for the band Dawes, took to his band’s Instagram account to share the happy news in his own creative way. With an adorable song about his future baby boy! Captioning the little poem, “Big News,” the singer croons the lyrics. “I’ve been thinking bout the kid books that I really enjoy, all the little outfits and my favorite toys,” he sings while playing the piano. “Me and Mandy gonna have a little baby boy!”
“I’m not sure what I did in a past life to deserve you but it must have been something big”
Moore and her Musician hubby, who tied the knot in November 2018, got engaged in September 2017 after two years of dating. The couple got married in an intimate ceremony that took place in the backyard of the couple’s Los Angeles home at sundown in front of family and close friends.
On their first wedding anniversary, Moore wrote a gushing tribute to her Beau. “A year ago I married my favorite person in the world and I still pinch myself over whatever magic brought us into each other’s lives. You continue to set the bar high for the rest of the world (as a partner, brother, son, bandmate, friend, etc.) and I am the luckiest for knowing, loving and being loved by you. Happy Anniversary, @taylordawesgoldsmith. Can’t wait for all the years to come…. ????????????????”
Speaking about Taylor in an Interview she said, “He makes me melt. I can imagine no better partner. He’s going to be the most tremendous father. I view the past as a stepping-stone to get me where I am today. I would gladly weather all of that a million times over if it brought me to Taylor again.”
Most recently, for the singer’s 35th birthday in August, the “Walk to Remember” actress penned a heartfelt message on Instagram. “I’m not sure what I did in a past life to deserve you but it must have been something big. You are undeniable. Your inherent light, humility, grace, humor, and compassion are contagious and I feel lucky to get the chance to bask in your goodness with outstretched arms. Thank you for trusting me with your heart. Thank you for being the best travel companion, crossword puzzler, songwriting partner, pet parent, and my favorite person. 2020 has certainly been a wild ride but I really can’t wait for what this next year will bring,” she wrote at the time.
“I was most concerned about feeling maternal, not having children myself”
Months before the engagement news, Moore had hinted in an Interview that she was eager to start a family. It was apparently her character, Rebecca Pearson, on “This Is Us” who really instilled the desire in her. “I feel a kinship with her,” she said at the time. “I was most concerned about feeling maternal, not having children myself. But being part of a project like this definitely makes my ovaries start kicking.”
“I’m definitely ready for motherhood sooner rather than later!” she said at the time. “I think that’s going to be the next chapter.”
“2020 sex scene. #thisisus”
Amidst the pregnancy announcement, Mandy is also getting back to work on the sets of “This Is Us.” She took to Instagram on Thursday to give her fans a behind the scenes glimpse into what her first day back filming was like.
With the cast assembling ahead of the season’s October 27th premiere, Mandy spoke to her followers about how grateful she was to be back to work, before showcasing life on set with her co-star Milo Ventimiglia.
“This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman took to Twitter sharing a photo of Mandy and Milo on set as he joked ‘A 2020 sex scene. We’re back #thisisus’. In the picture, Mr. and Mrs. Pearson (Milo and Mandy) are seen in full wardrobe as they stand outside on the production lot, six feet apart from each other.
