Lupita Nyong’o Reveals She Feels Intimidated Acting With Queen Angela Bassett

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is just a few days away from releasing. Currently, the interviews and promotions of the film are going on. Fans are getting to know much inside information related to the film and cast.

Angela Bassett who plays the role of Queen Ramonda is praised by critics for her outstanding acting in the film. Many fans who got early access to watch the film even said that her acting is Oscar-worthy. Recently Lupita Nyong’o had an interview with ET Canada where she spoke about how she felt intimidated by the Queen of Wakanda.

Lupita Nyong’o plays the role of Nakia who was also the love interest of T’Challa. She revealed that while she was working with her she had felt intimidated. She adds, “When you are in the scene with Angela Bassett you have to come correct. It’s intimidating.”

Lupita calls Angela a giving actress and praised her saying she is gracious and generous. The Black Panther actress also says that she tries to bring out her best self while she’s acting with Angela. She doesn’t want to mess up the scene with Queen Ramonda. That’s why she makes sure to give it all. She concludes by saying, “So that I’m worthy of being in the same scene with her.”

King T’Challa’s legacy will continue with someone else picking up the mantle. Black Panther 2 will be about honoring the beloved king T’Challa and the audience will witness the aftermath of his death. Marvel Studios already took the decision to not recast anyone in place of Chadwick. Even though the film will be incomplete without T’Challa and he can never be replaced. Someone has to take the legacy forward, and the film will finally declare the answer to the question Who will be the next Black Panther?
