Payne On Jesy Nelson & Zayn Malik

Liam Payne has claimed that Jesy Nelson left Little Mix for the same reason Zayn Malik once quit One Direction. The singer opened up about the singer’s decision to step away from the girl group during a TikTok live session.

The Strip That Down singer compared the exit of Jesy and Zayn as he said that, “Someone Zayn’d out…” He quickly backed down as he said let’s be serious about it and said it is always sad at this moment in time when bands get into that decision.

Liam shared that as being there himself, he feels like Zayn left for the same reasons in a weird way. He added, “But I wish Jesy all the best. I wish the girls all the best with carrying on as a three.” The singer expressed that he does feel for them as it is a tough time because everyone is watching in what he describes “little fish bowl”.

He added, “No one really understands what is going on and how it feels for some people [breaks into his new upcoming song] … I’m sending a lot of love to Little Mix.” Ironically, both the bands met on the X Factor as One Direction was formed by Simon Cowell in 2010. The band lost Zayn in 2015 as Little Mix won the show in 2011.

Zayn had announced he was leaving the band with a statement that he shared on social media. He wrote that he wanted some private time as he appreciated his life with One Direction. The Pillowtalk singer shared, “My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band.”

“I Know I Have Four Friends For Life In Louis, Liam, Harry, And Niall.”-Zayn

He apologized to the fans for letting them down in anyway but he explained he has to do what feels right in his heart. The singer further added that he is leaving because he wants to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight.

Zayn shared, “I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world.” One Direction has been everybody’s favorite band since 2016 as they were and are global phenomena.

The band has sold over 200 million records globally with over 21 billion streams across various streaming platforms. They have also won several awards like 7 BRIT Awards, 4 MTV Awards, 6 Billboard Awards, 7 American Music Awards, and 28 Kids Choice Awards.

Zayn had previously opened up about his issues with anxiety as he shared that he is always feeling like he is trying to work through certain issues around certain subjects. He shared, “For me personally, it comes from a place of not wanting to come across as an over-arrogant person that takes themselves too seriously.”

The I Don’t Wanna Live singer had canceled his appearance back in 2017 Capital Summertime Ball, minutes before he had to go on stage. He describes it as the worst anxiety of his career. The singer shared on his social media that his anxiety had haunted him throughout the past months around live performances.

Zayn explained, “With the magnitude of the event, I have suffered the worst anxiety of my career. I cannot apologize for enough but I want to be honest with everyone who has patiently waited to see me.”
