The reality star has filed for divorce from Kanye West on Friday i.e., February 19. According to sources, Kim Kardashian has requested for joint and legal and physical custody of their kids.
This comes after months of speculation about their relationship effectively having reached its breaking point. Their relationship was facing a lot of trouble as per reports. An insider revealed that it has got to a point where they haven’t spent time together as a married couple in months.
The source said, “It’s gotten to the point where they haven’t spent time together as a married couple in months. They’ve seen each other for the sake of the kids but have been living separately. Kim knows the marriage is over. She’s known for a while.”
The couple had gone public with their relationship back in April 2012 and married in 2014. They share four children together, North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm. The KKW Beauty founder was holding back from officially filing for divorce because of their kids.
According to the source, she wanted to make sure she is making the right decision for the kids. The insider further added that it is not about the marriage anymore as she will always care for Kanye but it is over between them.
“It’s not about the marriage anymore, she’ll always care for Kanye but it’s over between them. Kim is only focused on what’s best for the kids. It’s a tough decision for her and she’s figuring it out,” added the source.
Kim And Kanye No Longer In Communication
It was reported that Kim and Kanye had ceased communicated and he had moved out of their home in Calabasas. According to the source, they are completely done and are no longer on speaking terms. Kim is said to be trying to stay strong and move on with her life.
Kim and Kanye’s separate lives began to take its toll as the rapper stayed at his Wyoming ranch permanently while she continued living in Los Angeles. The reality star is reportedly doing her thing while Kanye does his.
“She is doing her thing and he is doing his. She doesn’t micromanage it or worry about it too much. She lets him go off and be who he is. It is what it is,” said the source. However, their children remain at the center of the relationship as an insider says they are still a family and they come together for their kids.
Kim had celebrated her 40th birthday last October and Kanye was there to make his love known. He had gifted the reality star with the creation of a hologram of Kim’s father, Robert Kardashian.

“He knows that the marriage is over, and there’s nothing that can be done right now”
The Skims founder and the rapper tied the knot in a rather lavish ceremony in Florence six years ago. Kanye is allegedly anxious and very sad as he has been having a difficult time amid his marriage falling apart from Kim. According to insiders, the rapper is not doing well as he knows that his marriage might be over.
The insider said, “He knows that the marriage is over, and there’s nothing that can be done right now.” He also knows what he is losing in Kim as per the sources as their divorce papers have yet to be filed.
Their marriage suffered a lot of pressure last year as there is very little hope of any reconciliation. The sources added that it would be a miracle if they come back together but Kanye does believe in miracles. According to the source, Kim had defended him privately as well as publicly and had stood beside him at a time where only a few wives would have done that.
Kim is hoping that the rapper stays in touch with his kids everyday. “Kanye can FaceTime the kids anytime he wants,” the source said. “He hasn’t been great about that, but everyone is encouraging him to do it. Kim doesn’t want to hurt him. She just knows she can’t be married to him anymore.”
Kanye Still Loves Kim Very Much
The rapper is aware that she has been a good wife as he still loves her very much. He also understands where she is coming from in their split after being married to each other for almost seven years.
According to PageSix, Kanye was seen wearing his wedding ring despite their split while Kim did not wear hers when she was seen last week.
The latest source has revealed that the couple is no longer in communication with each other. They have already started living their separate lives from one another. As further evidence proves that the rumors were true.
PageSix reported that the rapper has had 500 pairs of sneakers removed from their Calabasas home. The insider shared, “Kim and Kanye continue to live separate lives. They have no contact.”
However, not all of his belongings have been removed, but the removal of his collection can be considered significant. Rumors of their divorce have been around for a few weeks. According to sources, Kim has a divorce plan in place and was going to file when she is ready.
