Kanye West Responds To Yeezy’s Trash Bags Backlash, Says “I’m An Innovator”

Kanye West has become a part of another controversy, this time it’s of his own brand “Yeezy”.

Kanye West is selling the “Yeezy Gap Collection” clothes in bags that look like “trash bags”. Due to this, he’s facing a severe backlash from the shoppers. Out of so many tweets, one tweet got specific attention which was of a user who expressed disappointment with the brand.

The user tweeted that this was how Ye is selling his GAP collection. ” The sales associate said Ye got mad when he saw they had it on hangers and this is how he wanted it,” the tweet reads.

For getting a perfect size one has to dig through those bags, the user says. Kanye has finally addressed this controversy but he has also refused to apologize.

Kanye West Response To Trash Bags Controversy

Kanye West is defending his Yeezy GAP Collection bag in his interview with Fox news. Ye clearly states that he’s not going to apologize for his ideas. He fires back at the media for making celebs like him apologize for anything.

He says, ” I’m an innovator and I’m not here to sit up and apologize about my ideas.” Continuing this, Ye adds, ‘That’s exactly what the media tries to do. Makes us apologize for any idea that doesn’t fall under exactly the way they want us to think.”

Kanye West expressed his idea of having such unique bags. The goal to have such bags he says was to challenge the “traditional conventions and the way we dress”. Through this line, he wanted to make shopping for people “egalitarian and not pretentious”, he says.

He clarified that the collection was not being sold in “trash bags” but “large construction bags”. Ye’s motive was just to bring change in the clothing world and give the best to the customers, as per his statement.
