Junaid Khan signs another project with Hira Mani

Singer turned actor Junaid Khan is all set to enthrall viewers with a new project for Hum TV. He will be seen alongside Hira Mani and Armeena Khan.

The drama recently began production and is slated to go on-air in October. Directed by Ali Hasan, the drama is being produced by MD Productions.

Khan will be seen playing the role of a man who has an ideal relationship with his partner and lives a happy life with his family. Things take a turn when an outsider intervenes in their lives, and he ends up facing some struggles which start a journey of self-contemplation and healing for him.

“My character is of a perfect family man whose life turns upside down when some individuals start intervening – from there, he starts the journey of self-discovery,” Khan said.

Currently starring in Kasak and Kashf, Khan seems to have his plate full this year as he is also gearing up for the highly anticipated Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3.

He also recently launched a motivational series on YouTube titled ‘Keh Do’, where he can be seen sharing his personal experiences and views with fans.

Junaid Khan Early life:

Junaid Khan Niazi was born on 2 November 1981 to a Muslim family of Pashtun descent in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan. Khan completed his early education (grades 1 to 5) from Divisional Public School and from Ibne Sina College Defence (Matric).

After completing Matric, he joined FC College and later joined Mining Engineering Department of UET Lahore to pursue a degree in Engineering. During his third year at UET, while still being a student, Khan started his musical career.

He was auditioned by former Call members and was chosen to be part of the band. Later Khan earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Imperial College in Lahore

He, along with Khurram Jabbar Khan and Sultan Raja, were Call band members at that time. Later on Khan brought in two guitarists, Farooq Nasir and Usman Nasir, in the band.

Soon the band released their first track, “Nishaan”, which went viral on the internet and soon Call was amongst the mainstream artists of the country. Soon after, the band released their first music video of the song “Pukaar”.

Soon the band started performing live at various event throughout Pakistan and also internationally. Khan and Farooq Nasir composed the album Jilawatan and were recording at Xulfiqar Jabbar Khan’s (member of the band Entity Paradigm at time) audio studio in Lahore.

Later on Farooq and Usman Nasir left the band due to their personal commitments and Khan asked Xulfiqar Jabbar Khan to enter the band as the lead guitarist. The band completed the production of the album and Jilawatan was completed around 2005.

Explaining his transition to acting which happened later in his career, he says that having an artist mother who’s a gold medallist in Fine Arts, he himself indulged in artistic activities during his student days, namely drawing and theatre, the latter serving as base for his future as actor.

Hira Mani Profession:

Hira Salman (born 27 February 1989), known as Hira Mani, is a Pakistani television actress, presenter and former video jockey. She gained critical acclaim for portraying the role of Gaiti in ARY Digital’s popular series Do Bol (2019) and Hania in Mere Paas Tum Ho (2019). Hira is portraying a leading role of Kashf in Kashf.

Hira married fellow actor Salman Saqib Sheikh (Mani) at the age of 19. Their marriage ceremony took place on 18 April 2008. They frequently work together in most of their projects. The couple have two sons; Muzammil (born in 2009) and Ibrahim (born in 2014).

Hira Mani Career:

Hira started her career as a video jockey before moving on to hosting. She co-hosted the show Hum 2 Hamara Show on Hum TV with Mani which earned her critical recognition and they both followed it with the Hira Mani Show (2010).Hira made her acting debut along with her husband Mani in ARY Digital’s Meri Teri Kahani (2012).

The show was inspired by the American series Curb Your Enthusiasm. Both (Mani and Hira) appeared as fictionalized versions of themselves. She then appeared as Heer in Jab We Wed (2013) and as Hareem in Firaaq (2013). In 2015, she portrayed the role of Shagufta in Hum TV’s Preet Na Kariyo Koi opposite Ahsan Khan.

She received critical praise for portraying an emotionally intense character in the serial.[8] She later appeared as a guest in Mr. Shamim (2016) and Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain 2
