“I am retiring. I am being fairly serious,” Jim Carrey declaring he’s retiring. He said this while sitting for an interview with Kit Hoover on Thursday, March 31. In that statement he also said that he’s retiring from the acting and comedy worlds. The Canadian-born great comedy actor says that door is closed but would consider a project or script that was important for people to see. Jim Carrey said that he is quite serious about moving on from his acting.

“It depends – if the angels bring some sort of script that’s written in gold ink, that says to me that it’s going to be really important for people to see, I might,” the60 year old star noted to a stunned Kit. “I might continue down the road, but I’m taking a break. I really like my quiet life, and I really love putting paint on canvas, and I really love my spiritual life, and I feel like – and this is something you might never hear another celebrity say as long as time exists – I have enough. I’ve done enough. I am enough,” he said during the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 junket.
