Jason Todd’s Death Forces Batman to Retire in Titans Season 3 Trailer

The first complete teaser for Season 3 of the DC Comics series Titans is now available on HBO Max, starring Scarecrow, Barbara Gordon, and Red Hood. The former DC Universe series was created by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, and Greg Berlanti, with executive producer Greg Walker serving as showrunner. It was based on the superhero team of the same name.

Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Ryan Potter, Conor Leslie, Curran Walters, Joshua Orpin, Alan Ritchson, and Minka Kelly star in the series’ key roles.

Season 3 will see the titular group pulled to Gotham City due to a series of unknown circumstances, following the shocking season 2 ending that saw Damaris Lewis’ Blackfire arrive. The crew will be forced to confront their history, new threats, and reunite with old friends while they are there.

In addition to Lewis, newcomers Savanna Welch as Barbara Gordon and Vincent Kartheiser as Dr. Jonathan Crane, also known as Scarecrow, will join the cast for the next chapter of the series.

Season 3 Trailer

With less than a month till the third season of Titans premieres, HBO Max has released the first complete trailer. The movie depicts the titular team’s darkest moments, including Jason Todd’s apparent “death” and conversion as the villainous Red Hood, as well as the debuts of Barbara Gordon, now the Commissioner of Gotham City Police, and an imprisoned Scarecrow.

Take a look at the thrilling trailer below:

The Jim Starlin’s tragic storey has yet to see a suitable live-action adaptation, despite being briefly mentioned in the DC Extended Universe’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

While Titans may not be adopting a one-to-one approach to telling the story, its darker tone and decision to examine much of Grayson’s tragic past with Batman through flashbacks and exposition rather than starting from the beginning makes it one of the better vehicles for telling it. The wait to see how it all plays out is nearly over, as the series is set to return in a month.
