Jake Paul Wants Tyson Fury As His Next Boxing Opponent

Jake Paul has been making waves in the world of influencer boxing. He was also nmed as the Breakout Boxing Star of 2021 and continues to do what he is best at ie, creating buzz around the fight business.

Jake Paul fought Tyron Woodley in December and knocked him out in the sixth round of the fight. However, the Tyron Woodley bout was arranged at the last moment because the original opponent of Jake, Tommy Fury dropped out of the fight two weeks before the main event citing medical concerns.

Jake Paul has made it clear that he would not fight Tommy Fury again because ‘he doesn’t deserve it’. In a recent interview, Jake Paul addressed the question about what 2022 holds in store for his boxing career.

Jake Paul’s Next Boxing Opponent

Jake Paul named the retired boxing sensation Julio Cesar Chavez as a likely opponent for him in 2022. Moreover, the YouTuber also said that he was down to fight Tommy Fury’s elder brother Tyson Fury in a boxing match.

“Julio Cesar Chavez, I like that fight a lot because it silences the critics,” Paul responded. “You know, he was a former world champion and I know I can beat him. That challenge excites me and I’m down. This is what people don’t understand… Even after I knocked out Woodley they say ‘fight a real boxer’. I’m like ‘you guys I tried and he dropped out of the fight two weeks before’. So I want to fight a real boxer.. and I’m going to.”

“He wants the payday. But, you know, I’ve said it before – I don’t want to take the fight with him. He doesn’t deserve it. I’d rather fight Tyson. I’ll fight his brother or his dad before I fight Tommy.”

Will Jake Fight Tommy Fury?

Jake Paul has been saying that Tommy’s team has given no response to set a new date for the fight and he is not willing to give Tommy another chance.

But guess what? The British boxer Tommy Fury says that his team has already approached Jake Paul’s team to set up a new date for the fight in early 2022.

He also talked about his recovery and said it is going as good as it can.

“I’ve been putting all my time, all my focus into my recovery which is going as good as it can be going,” he said on Instagram on December 22.
