Is Valkyrae Going To Retire From YouTube In 2022? Find Out Here

Valkyrae is one of the most successful female streamers on the planet. She used to stream on Twitch earlier, before moving on to competitor YouTube gaming under an exclusive deal.

Her two year YouTube Gaming deal is approaching its expiry in January 2022. And guess what? Fans are wondering whether Valkyrae is going to continue her YouTube journey or not. This is because the streamer suggested, in one of her streams recently, that she would ‘retire’ from YouTube as soon as in 2022.

‘Almost Time To Retire’

In one of her videos, she said “Look, it’s almost time to retire.”

“Really, Granny Rae will be over the hill in just a few weeks, a few weeks! The end, it’s just a few weeks now.”

While Rae’s tone was that of fun and joke, her fans took the statement seriously. Many of them took to the comments to request her to stay and not to talk about her retirement.

“Please Rae, I don’t want to think about it,” one wrote while another user said “Rae there are many more years to go we love you”.

Valkyrae’s YouTube Gaming Contract

Valkyrae recently revealed that her YouTube Gaming contract expires in January 2022 and she has a major problem swinging in front of her.

However, it is highly unlikely that Valyrae would quit streaming on YouTube anytime soon. She was just joking with her statement and fans need not worry about missing the streamer already.

“MY 2-YEAR YOUTUBE CONTRACT ENDS ON JANUARY 15TH AND I STILL OWE 198 HOURS BEFORE IT’S OVER WHAT DO I STREAM WHO WANTS TO PLAY WHAT TO GRIND ANYTHING IM DESPERATE LOL WOOOOOO,” the 100 Thieves streamer posted on Twitter.

The streamer still needs to stream roughly 200 hours as stipulated in her contract to fulfill her obligations. Roughly calculated, Valkyrae will need to pull off 5 hour stream each day from today to meet the target.

Plans Of Quitting YouTube

Earlier, Valkyrae has talked about her thoughts of leaving the world of social media. But it isn’t going to happen anytime soon so Valkyrae fans, take a chill pill.

“I’ve been thinking about it a lot,” she revealed at the time. “There’s definitely going to be a time in my life where I pivot. I don’t want to live this way [streaming fame] for the rest of my life. I don’t know when, but it’s been on my mind. Social media especially, I just can’t stand it, it’s so difficult.”

“All the trolls, and hate, and creepiness,” she continued. “I just don’t think this fame is that fulfilling. It’s incredibly invasive. It [quitting] has been on my mind a lot.”
