Internet Praises Silk Sonic’s Withdrawal of Their Album From Grammy Nominations

Both Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak have announced that they are withdrawing their retro soul collaboration. ‘An Evening with Silk Sonic’ was not given for the nominations of the Grammy Awards 2023. Bruno Mars shared that they truly put their all into the album but shared that Silk Sonic would like to gracefully, humbly, and sexually, withdraw from submitting their album.

Mars further shared that they are hoping to celebrate with everybody this year of music and be at the party. He revealed this to Rolling Stone in a statement and added how he and Andy including their team won, the moment they saw everybody’s response to ‘Leave The Door Open’.

The singer added, “Everything else was just icing on the cake.” He further thanked the Grammys for letting them perform twice and awarding them last year. Mars also thanked everybody who supported the project and made it successful.

Back in 2022, Silk Sonic won the Record of the Year at the Grammys as they beat major artists. Bruno has won 15 Grammys so far in his career whereas Anderson has won 8. The internet, as we all know, will weigh in on the situation.

A user shared that they do not really care for Bruno but it would have been a big deal for Anderson. Another user expressed how sad it is for him to downplay his talents so people could feel comfortable. While another fan said it was their best album and they were confused why they withdrew.

A user also appreciated them for allowing other people to shine. Another tweet read that it is unusual but respectfully they have not streamed their album since the release. Another user shared how they are forcing the Grammy board to pick outside their favorites.
