On Sunday, May 2, the Grammy winner stunned the world when she revealed a huge transformation on the cover of British Vogue’s June issue. The “Lovely” singer looked stunning in a custom blush-colored Gucci corset and skirt with Agent Provocateur lingerie for the glossy. She outfitted with Atsuko Kudo Latex nude-colored latex gloves and Jacquie Aiche and Anita Ko jewellery.
Her seductive style, which was suggestive of past pinup idols, wasn’t the only thing that stood out. With her curly hair and effortless glam, the “bad guy” singer resembled blonde bombshells like Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield. “It makes me feel more like a woman,” she said of her platinum hairstyle.
In recent years, the singer has experimented with her appearance and stretched the limits of style. She isn’t afraid to style her bright hair or ultra-flashy ‘fits on the red carpet, after all.
Despite her fashionable clothing, Billie admitted that there was a time when she didn’t completely accept her own skin, saying that her body “was the initial cause of my depression when I was younger.”
It doesn’t help, she says, that the entertainment industry exploits stereotypes like the “modern hot girl.” Billie explains the trope as “this entirely different character of wifey.” “It completely messed me up.” Everyone says, “You can’t make a wife out of a hoe,” and you say, “But you’re attracted to that guy.” That individual was created by you.”
