Hocus Pocus Reunites For A Good Cause

Hocus Pocus has been rumored to have a sequel in works, however, until we get a confirmation about the same, we have a reunion of the cast.

Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker reunite for a good cause. On Sunday, better shared a photo from the reunion of the trio in their iconic costumes. The three used to play the Sanderson sisters from the 1993 Disney movie to promote a charity fundraiser on the eve of Halloween.

The actress posted the picture on her social media handle and captained it writing, “Your 3 fav witches – @sarahjessicaparker @kathynajimy & ME – are returning for 1 night only on 10/30 at 8p ET!” She also added that ‘In Search of the Sanderson Sisters’ is the best thing to happen to Halloween.

The trio reunited for helping the New York Restoration Project to raise money. The nonprofit was founded by Bette. It is partnering with communities to ensure that New Yorkers have access to the benefits of nature.

The goal of the project is to ensure that New York can have all its beautiful green spaces within walking distance of their homes.

The venture will be a one-hour virtual broadcast which will be hosted by Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. ‘In Search of the Sanderson Sisters: A Hocus Pocus Hulaween Takeover will also feature other celebrities; like Glenn Close, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Lambert, John Stamos; Meryl Streep, Billy Crystal, Sarah Silverman, and Martin Short.

However, the list of names does not end there. Billy Eichner, Adam Lambert, John Stamos, Samantha Diaz, Todrick Hall, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, Alex Moffat, Sarah Silverman; Sophie von Haselberg, Thora Birch, Omri Katz, and Doug Jones will also be making appearances. There are more celebrities who will be stopping by as well.

Hocus-Pocus-themed merchandise will be available to purchase and the tickets will cost $10. The classic was released back in 1993. It follows the Sanderson sisters come back from the dead to terrorize Salem, Massachusetts on Halloween.

The comedy movie was directed by Kenny Ortega and has since become the go-to costume for Halloween. Disney+ had confirmed last year that a sequel might be in development. Luckily, all three stars are keen to be recreating their roles.

Bette has been sharing throwback pictures every year on Halloween and has dressed up as her character, Winifred.
