@ClaireRothstein magazine founder here ???????? just sharing this image from my account which I think encapsulates @girls.girls.girls.magazine and what we stand for…???? “A million reasons why I wanted to post this picture. Obviously #rachelmcadams looks incredible and was quite literally the dream to work with but also this shoot was about 6 months post her giving birth to her son, so between shots she was expressing/pumping as still breastfeeding. We had a mutual appreciation disagreement about whose idea it was to take this picture but I’m still sure it was hers which makes me love her even more. Breastfeeding is the most normal thing in the world, like breathing and I can’t for the life of me imagine why or how it is ever frowned upon or scared of. I don’t even think it needs explaining but just wanted to put this out there, as if it even changes one person’s perception of something so natural, so normal, so amazing then that’s great. Besides she’s wearing Versace and @bulgariofficial diamonds and is just fucking major. Big shout out to all the girls ???????? #rachelmcadams for @girls.girls.girls.magazine cover shoot ???? @clairerothstein #pleaseshare Side note: I did not look anywhere near as fabulous as this when feeding/pumping. And that’s ok too” Stylist: @alicialombardini ???? . #girlsgirlsgirlsmag #girlsgirlsgirls #bringingbackthewoman #nogrungejustglamour #independentmagazine #printisnotdead #normalisebreastfeeding #normalizebreastfeeding #breastfeeding #life #women #versace #bulgari

“It’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me, hands down”

Although the fiercely private star has not yet revealed her son’s name and did not publicly confirm her pregnancy, she did open up about her journey with motherhood. That November, The Notebook actress spoke about her then-7-month-old son for the first time in an interview with The Sunday Times.

“It’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me, hands down,” McAdams said. “[People say] your life is not your own anymore, but I had 39 years of me. I was sick of me, I was so happy to put the focus on some other person.”

“I waited a long time [for motherhood],” she went on, adding that she has no regrets about welcoming a baby later in life. “It’s just how it happened,” she said. “And I didn’t want to do it before it was the right time.”

“He’ll never remember any of it, but I feel like somehow that might stick to his soul and his personality”

More recently, the Vow star told in an interview that she got to bring her toddler with her while she was filming the Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga in Iceland. “I got a lot of time off beforehand so I was pretty ready to go back [to work] by the time I did,” McAdams said in June.

“He’ll never remember any of it, but I feel like somehow that might stick to his soul and his personality a little bit, so it was great to get to travel,” she continued. “We’ve been cuddled up for so long together that it was wonderful to go out into the world and get to work at the same time. I felt really lucky to be able to do that.”

Quarantining with the couple’s son

McAdams and Linden have been spending “a lot of quality time” with their son amid the COVID-19 crisis. “It’s something that you’ll never get to do quite like this again,” she told. “It’s such extraordinary circumstances and we’re just making the best of it. And I was reading something about that in The New York Times, like, ‘Don’t worry about your kids,’ because he was just starting to really talk and open up and socialize.”

“‘The time they’re getting and they’re learning other skills that will benefit them just as much as socializing so just you know, relax, it’ll be okay,’ ” McAdams added.
