WWE’s Head of Creative, as evidenced by his two wins on the last Monday’s WWE Raw. On the 8/8 episode of the show, Ciampa will face Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship in what will be the biggest game of Ciampa’s championships career on the main roster. But he isn’t content with stopping at the US Championship and a brief feud with Lashley. No, Ciampa has much bigger plans for this run on WWE’s flagship shows.
I want to participate in every pay-per-view. I would like to win every title, Ciampa said, adding that there are a slew of guys he’d like to have programmes with, not just matches: AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, & Seth Rollins, man. I’ve been on route with Seth, and I’m like, wow, he’s really good. He understands. He’s great. Randy Orton when he’s fully recovered and returns. When Nick mentioned how fascinated he is by the Orton vs. Ciampa match-up, the two-time NXT Champion consented that several people have brought it up to him.
Ciampa, on the other hand, will have to wait till the Randy Orton comes back from reported back injuries that could retain him out until 2023. The fresh #1 contender for the United States Championship also stated that he reached a point in NXT where so many “carrots hanging down next to him” compelled him to move to the main roster. He’s often enjoyed the story – telling and theatrical aspects of pro wrestling, so he’s looking forward to continuing his story with The Miz and seeing what happens next.
8/1 WWE Raw show
Ciampa had always been looking for the opportunity to show off his skills, which he did on the 8/1 WWE Raw show. Ciampa had pinned both Chad Gable and AJ Styles by the end of the night to become the #1 contestant for Bobby Lashley’s United States Championship. Ciampa appeared on Raw Talk following the show to discuss the best moment of his main roster professional life.
When asked to explain his emotions, he used one word: Earned. Ciampa went on, followed by Dolph Ziggler, Chad Gable, & AJ Styles. I defeated them all. Ciampa declared victory. I win. I’ve said this before and will say it again: all I need now is a chance. And my chance is coming up by next. Although Ciampa’s victory over Styles was aided by outside aid from The Miz, the veteran NXT Champion demonstrated that he possesses all of the tools required to be a top singles star in WWE.
