Chris Evans is Sending Authentic Captain America Sheild to a Little Hero

Chris Evans has honored a little boy who saved his sister from being attacked by a dog. The actor sent him a sweet little message and vowed to send him the authentic shield of Captain America.

Evans plays the superhero in Marvel’s Avengers franchise. He recorded a clip for Bridger Walker, who saved his little sister. Bridger put himself between his sister and the dog, which got him injured. He had 90 stitches because of the injuries.

In the short clip by Evans, he said that he saw his story and what he did. He says he might have heard it a bunch of times and calls the boy a hero. The actor further said what he did was brave and selfless and that his sister is lucky to have him. He further said, ‘Your parents must be so proud of you.’

Footage of him seeing Evans give him the sweet message was posted on Twitter. He was wearing a Captain America costume while watching the video with his sister.

The clip was made possible by Bridger’s aunt, Nicole Walker, who contacted the filmmakers with information about the bravery of the little boy. The incident had gone viral on social media. Filmmaker Brandon Davis called the stunt one of the most fulfilling things they could do as he shared the clip of Bridger with his little sister.

‘Keep being the man you are, we need people like you’

Evans tells Bridger that he will be sending an authentic Captain America shield to his way because he deserves it. “I’m gonna track down your address and I’m gonna send you an authentic Captain America shield, because pal, you deserve it,” he said.

The actor further encourages him to be the man that he is and telling him that we need more people like you. He said, “Hang in there, I know recovery might be tough. But, based on what I’ve seen, there’s not much that could slow you down.”

Evans captioned the video saying, ‘Get this man a shield’. This line is a reference from Avengers: Infinity War and gained prominence in the trailer when uttered by T’Challah, also known as the Black Panther.

Bridger was bitten several times by the animal on his head and face. Even after being under attack, he held his sister’s hand and lead her away from the animal. Bridger’s aunt requested people to share the post as widely as possible so he could get some ‘words of encouragement from his favorite heroes.’

Avengers star, Mark Ruffalo gave a message after Anne Hathaway shared Bridger’s story on social media. She wrote she is not an Avenger but she knows a superhero when she sees one. The actress further says she hopes she is as brave in her life as he is in his.

Ruffalo replied to Nicole Walker’s post and wrote that he wanted to reach out after reading Bridger’s story. He further wrote, ‘People who put the wellbeing of others in front of themselves are the most heroic and thoughtful people I know.

‘I truly respect and admire your courage and your heart. Real courage isn’t dominating people or fighting against people or walking around like a tough guy. Real courage is knowing what is right to do and doing it even when it might end up hurting you somehow.’

Walker revealed in her post that she had just visited Bridger. The little boy said, ‘If someone had to die, I thought it should be me’. She further gave updates saying his wounds are looking better and he is in great spirits.

‘He can’t smile too widely yet, but he was grinning as I read some of your comments to him,’ Walker mentioned. She also added that Bridger and his family feel no resentment towards the dog owners. Some people had asked Walker if there is a GoFundMe page for Bridger. But she instead suggested them to donate to military veteran groups. She asked to send photos of rocks to Bridger because he loves geology.
