Charlotte Hale-Clone Will Meet Aaron Paul’s Caleb in Westworld Season 4

In Season 4 of Westworld, Tessa Thompson’s Charlotte Hale will meet Aaron Paul’s Caleb. Since its premiere on HBO in 2016, Westworld, based on Michael Crichton’s 1973 film of the same name, has been one of the most complex shows on television.

The sci-fi show was co-created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, who continue to act as its lead writers to this day. The mind-bending series has famously confounded fans over its 3-season run, despite being a huge hit with reviewers and receiving 54 Emmy nominations.

Season 1 of Westworld began simply enough in its titular Western-themed amusement park, where guests were treated to a variety of violent delights made possible by the park’s highly evolved humanoid robots known as hosts.

Season 2 expands the show’s plot outside of Westworld as they slowly gain consciousness and exit the park, while season 3 abandons the Wild West themes entirely and shifts to a dystopian, mid-twentieth-century world ruled by an omnipotent AI known as Rehoboam.

The fourth season of Westworld began filming in June, but was recently halted owing to a positive COVID-19 test.

Production Started Once Again

Westworld has now resumed production after a two-day delay, according to reports. To add to the good news, Deadline has learned that Aaron Paul’s combat veteran Caleb and Tessa Thompson’s Charlotte Hale-clone will meet for the first time in season 4.

Caleb is expected to play a key role in the conflict between humans and the Westworld hosts who have infiltrated humanity. With so much about Season 4 still unknown, this is the first plot tease for the complex sci-fi series to hint at what’s to come.

Caleb, who first appeared in season three, now appears to be assuming the role of the show’s lead character, filling the vacuum left by Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood), who may or may not return.

Since the season 3 finale put Caleb and the Charlotte Hale-clone, which truly possessed Dolores’ consciousness, against one another, it’s no surprise they’ll meet shortly. Since its debut in 2016, a new season of Westworld has aired every two years. Season 4 should premiere next year if everything goes according to plan.
