Carmelo Hayes Makes An Appearance To Tease A WWE NXT Exit

Carmelo Hayes could be called up to WWE’s main roster in the near future. Hayes took to Twitter on Wednesday to post a photo of himself lifting up a peace sign while being on stage during a concert, possibly indicating that he is done with NXT. This follows Hayes’ loss of the North American Championship on NXT last Tuesday.

Hayes was supposed to defend his title against Wes Lee, as voted on WWE’s webpage, but an unimpressed Hayes and his long – time associate Trick Williams ended up taking out Lee to prevent the match from taking place. The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa then made an unexpected return to the brand as Hayes’ new opponent, eventually winning and ending Hayes’ second reign as North American Champion after 102 days.

Hayes agreed to terms with WWE in February 2021. In June of that year, he created his ring debut, replying KUSHIDA’s open challenge for the Cruiserweight Championship. He then made a name for himself after defeating Josh Briggs, Duke Hudson, and Odyssey Jones to win the NXT Breakout Tournament, earning himself a contract for a title fight at a time of his choosing.

He then signed with Williams in September, briefly before cashing in his deal and defeating Isaiah Scott for the North American Title in October 2021. He lost the title to Cameron Grimes in a Fatal Five-Way Match earlier this year at Stand & Deliver, but reclaimed it at In Your House. It’s been a rough week for those who have been bitten or who have done the biting, but the act of biting is having a moment.

According to sources, Patrick Clark, also known as The Velveteen Dream in WWE NXT, was arrested recently for biting and punching a gym employee in the face, releasing teeth marks on the employee’s left chest close the armpit. Clark got into a heated argument with a senior gym employee after already being told to leave an area that was shut for cleaning, based on the document. Clark allegedly threatened to kill the employee as well.

Clark has been charged with assault and battery and trespassing on private property after being warned, both of which are misdemeanours. Clark was arrested for violating his probation after being arrested for cocaine possession in November 2021, and that infringement led to another detain days later.
