Canadian Healthcare Company Starts Accepting Shiba Inu Coin As Payment

The famous Canadian startup ‘Ask The Doctor’ that provides online medical services and advices has purchased $1.5 Million worth of Shiba Inu as per their latest financial statements!

The company added around 31 billion SHIB tokens to their balance sheet and has also promised that it would start accepting the meme-coin as an official mode of payment. After a flurry of requests from crypto enthusiasts, and particularly from the ‘ShibArmy’, the Canadian company decided to make this decision.

72 Hours Away

The official Ask The Doctor Twitter handle said that “We are 72 hours away from accepting #SHIB with our healthcare partners.”

But why only ShibaInu? Why did Ask The Doctor not add other cryptos to their balance sheet? Well, it’s because this is what the crowd wanted. After conducting a poll and asking whether they should add Shib or any other cryptocurrency [dogecoin] to their balance sheet, 90% votes were given to Shiba Inu by the followers.

However, the company already accepts Dogecoin as payment with its partners. Founder Prakash Chand said “I’m convinced doge will have the highest utility as a global currency because of their speed to settle a transaction and low fees per transaction.” He also added ”Possible larger market cap than Bitcoin as the community grows”.

Price Of Shiba Inu

The price of Shiba Inu recently jumped by 27% and there are two major reasons behind this increase.

1.) A major U.S cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has said that it would add support for Shiba Inu on its platform. This means people would be able to buy and sell SHIB on the Kraken platform.

2.) Shiba Inu became an accepted mode of payment at e-tailer Newegg. “We are always looking for ways to innovate the shopping experience on Newegg.com, and something our customers want is greater flexibility and options, including the ability to pay with a wide range of cryptocurrencies,” said Andrew Choi, the director of brand marketing at Newegg.
