BugAboo (bugAboo) is the most recent girl group to be announced in October. The girl trio is expected to release their first piece of music, named ‘bugAboo,’ as part of the autumn rush of comebacks. It’s a single album with three tracks, the title track being ‘bugAboo.’

Ryan Jhun, the company’s CEO and founder, produced the album. He has previously produced big singles including Red Velvet’s ‘Dumb Dumb’ and SHINee’s ‘Don’t Call Me.’ He also enlisted Doyoung of NCT, Haechan of Loona, HeeJin of Loona, Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Yves for his latest music project, ‘Maxis.’

Ateam Entertainment, his label, also houses the popular boy band VAV. Their first girl group will be BugAboo. The girl group, which now has six members, created quite a sensation when they performed at Miss Malaysia’s event in 2019.

Their debut had been postponed due to the epidemic, but they are now ready to take over the K-pop scene. They’ve named their sub-units Bug and Boo, a play on their moniker, which means peek-a-boo. Here’s everything we know about their upcoming release so far.

On October 25 at 6 p.m. KST, BugAboo’s ‘bugAboo’ will be released (5 am ET). All major music streaming sites, including Spotify, Apple Music, MelOn, and others, will have the single album ‘bugAboo’ available.

1. ‘bugAboo’ – The title track
2. ‘All Night Play’
3. ‘bugAboo’ – Instrumental version

The title track is called ‘bugAboo.’ All of the tracks were created with Ryan Jhun’s help. To tease their debut, BugAboo shared three sets of concept pictures. The girls appear stunning in dark but sleek clothes enhanced by an ominous blue light with campy props in abandoned locales, a suitable Halloween theme for their debut month.

Similarly, the trailer for the ‘bugAboo’ music video is a lighthearted spin on the frightening Halloween notion. We watch the girls harness their inner psychopath by referencing legendary pop-culture motifs like Snow White’s evil queen and the guy in the yellow raincoat from ‘It’. The trailer finishes with the girls walking with weapons in preppy plaid outfits as they prepare to fight ghosts.
