BTS Jimin has achieved another milestone with his debut solo album FACE, which was released on March 24, 2023. Three songs from the album have now surpassed 100 million streams each on Spotify, making Jimin the first K-pop soloist to have three songs from one album reach this feat.

The three songs are “Like Crazy”, the main track of the album, “Set Me Free Pt. 2”, the pre-release track, and “Like Crazy (Eng Ver)”, the English version of the main track that showcases Jimin’s versatility and charm.

FACE – Jimin’s Successful Solo Debut

“FACE” is primarily a pop, hip hop, and R&B record that explores themes of loneliness, self-discovery, and finding freedom. The album was heavily inspired by the emotional impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Jimin as a person and performer. The lead single, “Set Me Free Pt. 2,” was released with an accompanying music video on March 17, 2023, and was followed by the album’s second single, “Like Crazy,” which premiered simultaneously with the album’s release.

The album’s domestic success was unprecedented, breaking sales records on its opening day with over 1 million copies sold. In its first week, “FACE” surpassed 1.45 million sales, making Jimin the first solo artist in Hanteo Chart history to achieve this feat. The album debuted at number one on the Circle Album Chart, solidifying Jimin’s status as one of the most popular solo artists in K-pop.

With his debut solo project, Jimin also became the first K-Pop soloist to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and Spotify Global Chart.

Jimin‘s FACE is a remarkable achievement that showcases his talent and passion as a solo artist. He has made history with his debut solo album and has proven himself to be a versatile and influential musician. He has also inspired millions of fans around the world with his message of hope and freedom.
