Britney Spears Breaks Silence About Hulu Documentary, Framing Britney Spears

Britney Spears has finally broken her silence on Tuesday as she revealed that she saw the documentary that was exploring her life. She shared how it left her feeling embarrassed and in tears by the way she was portrayed.

The highly popular documentary, The New York Times: Framing Britney Spears had covered the life of Britney and how she was portrayed in the media. It also covered her rise to fame and her conservatorship battle. The documentary also educated viewers about how the #FreeBritney movement really started.

Britney opened up further as she admitted to not watching the documentary but she seemingly shared that she had watched few snippets. The pop star took to her Instagram to reveal her thoughts about the same. She wrote, “I didn’t watch the documentary but from what I did see of it I was embarrassed by the light they put me in.”

The singer further shared that she cried for two weeks and it still makes her emotional sometimes. She had shared her thoughts about the documentary along with a video of her dancing to Aerosmith’s ‘Crazy’. The pop sensation shared how dancing was her way of being able to feel “wild and human and alive”.

However, along with feeling embarrassed, she also addressed how she had to face the media and public scrutiny throughout her career. This was also covered in the documentary that was released on Hulu last month.

“My life has always been very speculated …,” Spears wrote in the Instagram post. “Watched … and judged really my whole life !!! I have been exposed my whole life performing in front of people,” she posted.

“It takes a lot of strength to TRUST the universe with your real vulnerability”

Britney further revealed that it takes a lot of strength to trust the universe with real vulnerability because she has always been judged. She continued, “It takes a lot of strength to TRUST the universe with your real vulnerability cause I’ve always been so judged… insulted… and embarrassed by the media… and I still am to this day.”

The pop star added that everyday dancing brings her joy and that she is not here to be perfect. She described being perfect as being boring and shared that she is here to pass kindness. According to sources, the singer was very emotional after watching some of the documentary but also hopeful that she will finally be freed from her father’s grip.

Britney wants her father out of the conservatorship and she has been fighting hard for that for a while now. The source also revealed that there were parts of the documentary which were too hard and emotional for her to watch. “There are parts of the film that were too hard and emotional for her to watch — the scenes that describe the most difficult times of her life, the relentless media circus and the harsh focus on her as a young mother,” a source close to the star said at the time.

Sources Reveal Britney Feels People Are On Her Side

However, the insider further added that she feels that for the first time in many years, people are on her side and things will get better for her. After the release of the eye-opening documentary by the New York Times, Framing Britney Spears, the mistreatment by the media in the 2000s was highlighted. Celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, etc have expressed their support and sympathy for her. The former Disney star had said, “Hey, we love Britney” as she was singing Party in the U.S.A during her Super Bowl performance.

Britney’s fans have been worried about how controlled Britney has been over her life. Especially after the documentary, many others have realized how hard it must have been for her. Her Instagram posts thanking the celebrities have brought some relief to fans as the post can be seen as proof that Britney has direct access to her own social media accounts.

However, fans are still concerned about her well-being after the post. As one wrote, “Where are Madonna and Janet Jackson?” Another said, “YES MAAM but what do you mean you’ve been apart from your boyfriend and family????” Britney was spotted with her beau, Sam Asghari, and her son, Jayden Federline last week.

Britney had shared a picture of her two sons at the beginning of this month as she explained how hard it is for any mother to see her boys grow up so fast. Some fans noticed that the pop star follows 116 people on Instagram. Out of seven of the women that she gave a shout-out to, she only follows Miley and Jamie Lynn.

The singer gave fans more to worry about when she shared multiple posts about the color red. Fans tried to debunk as they were searching for clues that hinted at her well-being or an upcoming project. She captioned photos of red lips and a red refrigerator with one simple message: “RED.”
