Andrew Garfield Thinks Tom Holland Is The Perfect Spider-Man

Andrew Garfield has recently shared his opinion on Spider-Man: No Way Home’s Tom Holland. He described him as the perfect star for the role of Spider-Man. Andrew had previously been the Marvel web-slinger in Sony’s rebooted franchise of Spider-Man movie.

The Tobey Maguire-led franchise fell apart during the production of the fourth movie. Andrew-led Spider-Man also faced the same issue as the box office returns through two films wasn’t well received. The series again got rebooted for the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Tom Holland graced the screens as Spider-Man.

His character first appeared in MCU’s Captain America: Civil War and was lead by two solo movies. The character made appearances in both Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. Tom’s upcoming movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home will revolve around the aftermath of his secret identity being exposed by Mysterio at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The character then turns to Doctor Strange for help as he asks him to erase everyone’s memory. He is then forced to face multiple villains from previous Spider-Man movie franchises; because of the rip of time and space. The list of villains includes Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus; and Green Goblin from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy and Jamie Foxx’s Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Andrew sat down with Jimmy Fallon for The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon to discuss his work in the upcoming movie, The Eyes of Tammy Faye. Eventually, the conversation shifted to his rumoured appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The actor naturally denied, yet again; being a part of the sequel but opened up about his love for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.

Andrew Loves Tom Holland’s Spider-Man

The actor said he appreciates a chance to be a fan again which is the preferred position. He added that he thinks Tom Holland is the perfect Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Andrew said,

I think that Tom Holland is just the perfect Peter Parker and Spider-Man, so I’m just super stoked. I get to just be a fan again, which is my preferred position, to be able to sit in the audience and just kind of go, ‘Yeah, you screwed up, mate, you didn’t do it as well as you could.’ I get to be that guy that’s just like, ‘Yeah, I don’t really love the suit.’ [laughs]”

Audiences will not be surprised to hear Andrew continuing to deny the rumours of his appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, it is good to hear his admiration for Tom’s character.
