Bollywood actor Amit Sadh has revealed that he felt like committing suicide when he was 16 years old and says that it’s a sign of strength to admit that you’re weak!

Lately, many actors have come out talking about their depressed phases in life. From Deepika Padukone to Shaheen Bhatt, we have seen celebs spreading awareness about mental health. The latest actor to join the row is Amit Sadh. He has now revealed that he has felt suicidal as a teenager.

Talking to Bollywood Hungama, he said, “I think it takes courage. I think it is a sign of strength when you admit you are wrong, weak or failing. The only thing is, you have to be lucky and blessed to have an environment and people around you who don’t kick you in ba**s when you tell them that you are falling.”

The actor stressed on the need of creating a safe environment for people who are going through a rough phase. “That’s the change we need to bring in society, each other and ourselves. When we find situations like these, are we equipped to help those people rather than judging them. And actually crucifying them and making life more hell for them,” he added further.

Amit had recently taken the coronavirus tests. This had happened after he had dubbed in the same studio as Abhishek Bachchan, who is currently suffering from COVID-19.

The actor’s latest release is the web series Breathe Into The Shadows which is now available on the OTT platform Amazon Prime. Amit was also a part of the first season of the series.

Meanwhile, he has two other projects coming up this month. He is playing pivotal roles in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Yaara and Anu Menon’s Shakuntala Devi, both of which are having a digital release.
