Amanda Seyfried and Husband Thomas Sadoski Welcome Second Child, A Baby Boy!

Amanda Seyfried and husband Thomas Sadoski’s family just got a little bigger! In a statement to INARA and War Child USA, The “Mamma Mia” actress welcomed their second child, a baby boy. Alongside the first photo of their newborn. The parents decided to share their happy news through two organizations who work tirelessly to protect children during wars.

The news was announced on Monday on War Child USA’s Instagram account. An organization that works to help children in war-affected communities reclaim their childhood through access to education, opportunity and justice. Both Seyfried and Sadoski are ambassadors of the organization and released an official statement, alongside an adorable first-look of their newborn.

“We are so happy to join with @warchildusa to be the first to announce that our board members @mingey and @thomas_sadoski welcomed their second child into this world,” INARA posted on Instagram. Both Amanda and Thomas have also been longtime supporters of INARA, which provides access to life-saving and life-altering medical assistance to children impacted by war.

“With the birth of our son the work of INARA and War Child has become our North Star”

Along with officially announcing the birth of their newborn, the proud parents also provided the organization with a short statement about their new bundle of a joy.

“Since the birth of our daughter 3 years ago our commitment to the innocent children that are so brutally affected by conflict and war has been a driving force in our lives,” the couple said in the statement. “With the birth of our son the work of INARA and War Child has become our North Star.”

Apart from their newborn son, the couple is also parents to 3½-year-old daughter Nina. Seyfried and Sadoski, tied the knot in March 2017 in Topanga, California, while Amanda was nine months along in her first pregnancy. The family of four has been quarantining in a renovated farmhouse in upstate New York amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“I am so lucky — I know I am”

Although they are known to be a low-key couple, news of their second child comes as a surprise to many fans who weren’t even aware that Stone was expecting. In fact, even when Amanda opened up about her life in quarantine earlier this summer, she didn’t drop any hints that she was expecting.

Back in August, last month, Seyfried spoke about her life in quarantine and having childcare help from her mother Ann.

The Letters to Juliet actress went on to say she and Sadoski are “lucky” to have the actress’s mom, Ann Seyfried, living with them. “She’s our nanny,” Amanda said at the time. “My life is awesome because she is the third parent for us.”

“I am so lucky — I know I am,” the Mean Girls actress admitted during her interview with John Molner for a recent episode of his YouTube series Molner’s Table. “When my daughter gets up, she either comes into our room or she goes downstairs. And if we’re still sleeping it’s great, ’cause she can hang out with my mom,” Seyfried said.

“These days, it’s been me waking up and going downstairs and drinking coffee and hanging out with my daughter and then Tommy feeding [the animals]. And you know what? Our family’s still together,” the Dear John star playfully said, laughing. “I definitely think my marriage (has become) even stronger. This [coronavirus pandemic] is hard for people.” The couple also celebrated their anniversary this year in March while staying in a farmhouse near upstate New York.

“I’ve learned that there are some ways that I was raised that I don’t want to raise her”

Back in 2019, Seyfried has spoken about how it was “so hard to plan” for more kids.

“If it happens to you, you just make it work,” she shared. “I want to get pregnant again, but I’m not ready just yet to have a second. I would like my daughter to be in school and then have my own time with a new baby. But it’s so hard to plan,” she said at the time.

Further explaining her parenting style, Seyfried previously said she was determined to make smart choices when it came to raising her daughter Nina. While also working on films and passion projects.

“I really don’t have any excuses anymore to be lazy about who I am or who I want to be. I’ve learned that there are some ways that I was raised that I don’t want to raise her. Just little things here and there. And I’ve learned that presence is everything,” she explained.
