A Golden Ticket Battle Royale Has Been Announced For The AEW Rampage On September 23rd

A Golden Ticket Battle Royal has indeed been introduced to the special two-hour Rampage episode that will air on September 23. Hangman Adam Page, Lance Archer, Penta El Zero Miedo, & Jay Lethal have been announced as competitors, and more are expected to compete. The winner will be given the opportunity to compete in the AEW World Championship at a later date and time. Jade Cargill, the unbeaten TBS Champion, will defend her title against Diamante on next Friday’s Rampage.

Diamante informed Cargill that she should have just asked for some competition instead of saying she wouldn’t come alone because she knows the baddest b****…the OG from 305. There will also be several tantrum matches on next Friday’s Rampage. Ricky Starks will face Powerhouse Hobbs in an All Out rematch. Hobbs betrayed Starks when he attacked him after losing his FTW Championship to HOOK at Fight For The Fallen. Eddie Kingston will square off against longtime adversary Sammy Guevara.

The match was supposed to take place at All Out, but it was cancelled after Guevara and Kingston got into a backstage brawl. Sting and Darby Allin will face House of Black in a no-holds-barred match. Brody King has been after Allin as of Royal Rampage, attacking him several times outside of the ring. ROH Television Champion Samoa Joe will team up with TNT Champion Wardlow to face Tony Nese and Josh Woods ever since Wardlow saved Joe from an attack by Nese and Woods on Friday.

Darby Allin

FTW Champion HOOK and Action Bronson will also face Matt Menard and Angelo Parker of the Jericho Appreciation Society. Jungle Boy will also face Rey Fenix. Matt Hardy will face Darby Allin in singles competition after Hardy issued the challenge on Wednesday night. Hardy stated that he wanted to contest one of his biggest rivals and partners to a match in order to work his way back up to the top of the company.

Penelope Ford has already been racking up victories since her return to AEW programming, and she looks to keep doing so when she faces Willow Nightingale on Friday’s Rampage. Ford was out for several months with an undisclosed injury before making her come back on the August 15 episode of Dark: Elevation. Since defeating Allisyn Kay on the Zero Hour pre-show before the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view in July, Nightingale hasn’t been seen on AEW or ROH programming.
