Vanderpump Rules star, Lala Kent is Pregnant, Expecting First Child With Fiance Randall Emmett
Lala Kent is pregnant! The Vanderpump Rules star and her fiancé, producer, Randall Emmett, are expecting their first child together. The couple shared the happy news on their podcast, “Give Them Lala … with Randall.“
“For my 30th birthday I have the best gift given to me”
“I’m, like, shaking right now because I can’t believe that it’s, like, a real-life thing,” Kent says before getting visibly emotional. As Lala speaks about gathering herself, Randall adds that the people listening to the podcast can’t see but the model has “tears flowing out of her eyes.”
Lala continues admitting, “I cry about everything but today it’s very much happy tears.” She informs the audience that today is her 30th birthday, and that she “can’t think of any better way to celebrate.” The podcast also featured a special guest, Lisa Vanderpump. The couple teased the news on their respective Instagrams hours before the podcast aired.
“For my 30th birthday I have the best gift given to me, my body also helped out, I am pregnant,” she reveals as everyone around her cheers and Emmett shouts, “Lala Kent, soon to be mother!”
“I feel very maternal and motherly”
“I am and I’m, like, so excited, I feel very maternal and motherly.” She said before joking about her hormonal ups and downs. “I cry about everything, I look at the refrigerator. And it could be empty or full, and I’m, like, is [it] happy or sad, I don’t know.”
Emmett is already father to two daughters, 10-year-old London and 6-year-old Rylee, whom he shares with his ex-wife, You star Ambyr Childers. The reality star and producer have been dating since 2017 and got engaged in September 2018.
Pregnant during the quarantine
The lovebirds, who had to postpone their April 2020 wedding amid the coronavirus pandemic, recently revealed that they were trying to get pregnant during quarantine. “We are working at that currently,” Emmett said at the time. “We are on the Flo app, we are on the apps. Lala, whatever day it is, she comes in, she says, ‘Give me a baby!’ and then I hop right to it.”
The Bravo personality even revealed that Megan Fox, who stars in Emmett’s upcoming movie with her boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly, even offered to be her doula whenever she got pregnant.
“All I want in my whole life is to be a mama”
Throughout their relationship, Kent has been vocal about having kids. In April 2019, she told Jenny McCarthy that “All I want in my whole life is to be a mama.” In February earlier this year, the pair talked about expanding their family. However, they had yet to agree on the number of kids they’d like to have together. Emmett wants one, while Kent wants two.
“I say two because I keep thinking about when we have Christmas,” Kent explained. “OK, I can picture it, we have my step babies, his girls, and then they get to go off to their mom’s house together and then our kid will be like, ‘This sucks, just me and my mom and dad?’ How horrible!”
Vanderpump Rules “pregnancy pact”
Lala even touched upon the Vanderpump Rules “pregnancy pact.” She, Katie Maloney-Schwartz, Brittany Cartwright and Stassi Schroeder all plan to get pregnant within a few years of each other, so that their kids can all grow up together. Stassi Schroeder is currently expecting her first child with fiancé Beau Clark.
“We all have families that live somewhere different, so, to us, if we have babies together, they’ll be like cousins,” Kent explained. “They’ll all be in the same age group and we can celebrate birthdays together. So, I know it sounds corny and like a Lifetime movie, but that’s what we’re doing, because this one over here [Randall] is, like, ‘We can wait a couple of years, like, you’re young,’ but you’re not, so let’s get it poppin’.”
Cryptic Messages: “Dear God, it is I who has made my life a mess”
News of the model’s pregnancy comes after she recently deleted photos of Randall from her Instagram. Moreover, Lala posted a couple of cryptic messages about making “mistakes” and her life being a “mess.”
“Dear God, it is I who has made my life a mess. I have done it, but I cannot undo it,” the Reality TV star wrote in the Instagram Story. “My mistakes are mine & I will begin a searching & fearless moral inventory. I will write down my wrongs but I will also include that which is good. I pray for the strength to complete the task.”
The whole debacle naturally led fans to believe that there was trouble in paradise with many hinting at a possible breakup. However, an hour later, Lala returned to Instagram to clarify that her post was not ‘cryptic’ and that it was actually the ‘fourth step prayer.’ Which is part of the 12-step program for substance abuse. “One of the hardest steps in the 12 step program. I will continue to post a prayer from the program each day,” wrote Kent.
Additionally, Randall assured worried fans that he and Lala had not called off their engagement. Randall also took to his Instagram stories to share clips of the model hanging out on the patio of their Puerto Rican abode with his family and daughters.
