Uncharted Trailer: Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg bond over ‘treasure hunting’

The official Uncharted teaser is one thing, but the way Tom Holland addressed fans in India with a “Namaste” at the start of the promo clip is another! Uncharted, starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, has a confirmed release date of February 18, 2022.

The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer and is based on a critically renowned video game series. Holland plays Nathan Drake, a human punching bag who makes some daring movements in the violent action scenes but holds on for dear life to a cargo plane at one point in the trailer! Holland’s Drake meets his crime partner, Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg), and the two of them go ‘treasure hunting,’ with the goal of finding Nathan’s long-lost brother, Sam.

“There are places out there that no map can show you,” Drake explains as he walks through a dark cave. While working as a bartender at a party, he meets Sully. After some amusing banter, the two decide to go on an adventure in quest of “the world’s biggest treasure.” Drake sets off to gather the gold they’ve been hunting for, with the hope of also finding his brother, in a sequence of interesting situations.

Tom Holland As Fortune Hunter

Uncharted will follow Tom Holland as fortune hunter Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as his mentor Victor “Sully” Sullivan, and will serve as a prequel to the games. The film will star Antonio Banderas, Tati Gabrielle, and Sophia Taylor Ali as Chloe Frazer, Nathan’s love interest in the games, and will center on their early adventures together.

Sony debuted the first footage from the film at CinemaCon earlier this year, with Sully at an auction, Nathan entering a cave-like location, and then falling out of a cargo plane, all of which are reminiscent of the video game franchise.
