Titans Season 3 Trailer Teases Jason Todd’s Red Hood Transformation

The teaser trailer for Titans season 3 has been released by HBO Max. The darker take on DC’s Teen Titans team premiered on DC Universe in 2018, with the first season introducing the group’s core members: Dick Grayson aka Nightwing (Brenton Thwaites), Koriand’r aka Starfire (Anna Diop), Rachel Roth aka Raven (Teagan Croft), and Gar Logan aka Beast Boy (Brenton Thwaites) (Ryan Potter).

Season one of Titans also included Hawk (Alan Ritchson) and Dove (Minka Kelly), as well as Jason Todd (Curran Walters). The show then expanded its roster in Titans season 2 to include Iain Glen as Batman, Joshua Orpin as Superboy, Conor Leslie as Donna Troy, and Esai Morales as Deathstroke, among many other DC heroes and villains.

Season 3

Now, Titans season 3 is due to premiere on HBO Max, and Savannah Welch will play Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Jim Gordon, who was initially known as Batman’s sidekick Batgirl, then Oracle in the comics. In addition, Vincent Kartheiser has been hired as Scarecrow’s father, Dr. Jonathan Crane, and Jay Lycurgo has been cast as Tim Drake, another DC figure who will take up the Robin role after Dick Grayson. The teaser trailer for the upcoming season has been released by HBO Max, with the new season due to launch in around two months.

It’s likely that Jason’s transformation into Red Hood may be related into the Scarecrow plot, or that the Joker will be seen for the first time in Titans, despite the character having been mentioned previously. For the time being, it’s unclear how Red Hood will fit into Season 3, especially since Jason is estranged from the rest of the Titans squad.

However, it appears that Nightwing will be busy in his own right, as Blackfire (Damaris Lewis) will appear as a villain in Titans season 3 and will be matched against her sister Starfire. There won’t be a shortage of heroes in Titans season 3 with Barbara Gordon and Tim Drake joining the fold, and more about what’s next for each of them will be revealed when a full teaser is released.
