Stranger Things To Resume Filming For Season Four In September

Netflix’s Stranger Things will resume filming in September for it’s highly-anticipated fourth season.

The authorities confirmed that the sci-fi drama will resume filming in Georgia, US. The state hopes that they can resume all film and TV industry after the long pandemic.

The cast has already been informed about the shooting which will start from September 17, according to an entertainment portal. However, the virus is still around the corner, which means that the date can be pushed ahead as well.

Owner of the Atlanta Metro Studios, John Rooker said that Georgians want to get back to work. He says they want to show that they can beat the virus and encourage America to go back to work. The show’s stunt coordinator also revealed that filming action sequences won’t be easy. Social distancing would make it more harder to film.

He told ComicBook they can separate themselves, work in and out of set in waves. Instead of having everybody on set, they are planning to have only a few people to make it easier. Rooker further said that everybody can wear masks and gloves except the actors. They will have to be in close contact.

The creators have not yet revealed a release date but they have teased the name of the first episode: The Hellfire Club. David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper in the show, revealed that the series was set to release in early 2021. He revealed that in an Instagram Live Q&A. Harboure revealed, ‘[Season four was] supposed to come out early next year, I think, although I don’t have authority on this.’ 

The actor however said that just like any other movie or TV production, the series can also be pushed back due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. He admitted that quarantining had a really bad effect on his mental health. Harbour did not want to be alone so he traveled to be with his girlfriend. He said he hopes that it starts soon. Harbour said, ‘We don’t know what any of this means. My hope is we get it up and running as soon as possible but I also suggested to Lily that season four should be animated.’

Stranger Things is a sci-fi drama, created by the Duffer Brothers. It premiered in July 2016. The show is about a fictional town called Hawkins, Indiana in the 1980s; season one focused on the disappearance of a young boy and the investigation of it as the town deals supernatural events occurring.

Other than David, Millie Bobbie Brown, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and, Winona Ryder are also a part of the series. Brett Gelman was promoted to be the series regular. He played journalist turned conspiracy theorist Murray Bauman. Gelman made his debut in season two. He had an important role in season three.

Brett also starred in Fleabag as the American husband of Fleabag’s sister, Claire.
