Spider-Man: No Way Home Fan Edit Brings The Flash To MCU’s Multiverse

In the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home, new fan art has surfaced online, depicting a possible crossover between The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Spider-Man (Tom Holland).

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this will be Tom Holland’s third solo excursion as Peter Parker. On December 17, 2021, it will be released in theatres. Though their powers are vastly different, Spider-Man and the Flash from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DCEU play similar roles in their own superhero teams.

Both characters are younger, insecure heroes with strong senses of humour; and both have drawn closer to the multiverse in their films as their careers progressed. When villains like Doc Ock (Alfred Molina) and Electro (Jamie Foxx) return in Spider-Man: No Way Home; Holland’s Peter Parker will reportedly go on an Into the Spider-Verse-style adventure; while Miller’s Flash will travel through the multiverse to meet Michael Keaton’s Batman when The Flash premieres next Fall.

With the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home coming up next month, fans have begun to delve into multiverse theories and art. In fact, new fan art has surfaced online, courtesy of The Flash Film News Twitter account; depicting what a possible Marvel-DC crossover in No Way Home may look like. Take a look at the following:

The image above is one of several that have recently appeared ahead of the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The image is of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker fleeing Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock on a motorway in his Iron Spider outfit.

Barry Allen, played by Ezra Miller, has been added to the image, and according to the text; he may have screwed with the chronology again, much like Peter. Although it’s nearly certain that Spider-Man and The Flash will never meet on the big screen; this artwork demonstrates that fans have already noticed the parallels between their separate arcs.

Spider-Man and The Flash would be two of the most plausible characters from each reality to lead such a project if it ever happened. Both protagonists are well-known for their adventures in their respective multiverses; thus it would be a simple sell to mainstream viewers that are curious about why and how they meet.
