Hayden Christensen’s Darth Vader Arrives In Ahsoka Show Fan Poster

Darth Vader played by Hayden Christensen, in a new fan poster for the Disney+ Star Wars spinoff programme Ahsoka, Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader appears.

Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni’s The Mandalorian, Disney+‘s first live-action series set in a galaxy far, far away, went to great lengths to relate the films to the animated series. Season 2 of The Mandalorian, for example; brought Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), a former Padawan trainee of Anakin Skywalker who will soon be getting her own live-action series.

The Mandalorian’s success has spawned in a slew of new Star Wars TV series. This includes The Book of Boba Fett, Andor, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. But the second series will be picking up eight years after Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith; and will revolve around Obi-Wan/Ben Kenobi on Tattoine.

Ewan McGregor will reprise his part as the renowned Jedi Master; with Hayden reprising his part as Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader. However, it was just revealed that Christensen will also star in Ahsoka. Bosslogic, a well-known artist, recently shared some artwork on Instagram depicting Christensen as Anakin/Darth Vader in the upcoming Ahsoka series.

As TIE fighters and a star destroyer approach, the titular Togruta wields her lightsabers; serving as a poster for the programme.

The last time audiences did see Ahsoka in The Mandalorian was on the hunt for Grand Admiral Thrawn and as a result; ended up searching for Ezra Bridger. The events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi are claimed to take place five years after the events of Ahsoka.

Darth Vader and Ahsoka had a duel the last time they met in Rebels. It’s uncertain how Christensen will fit into the storey because Darth Vader died at the end of Episode VI. Anakin/Darth Vader will most likely emerge in flashbacks/visions or as a Force Ghost; allowing McGregor to reprise his role as Obi-Wan.

George Lucas’ prequels as well as Christensen’s portrayal, were heavily attacked prior to the publication of Disney’s sequel trilogy. Since then, fans have warmed up to his portrayal and even hearing his voice in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker made them happy.

Both Christensen and the audience get a second chance to love Anakin Skywalker in the Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka shows. Everyone provides closure for everyone involved. It will be interesting to see how the live-action series particularly “Snips” and “Skyguy”; bridge the gap between animation and live-action.
