Shahid Kapoor shares a special note as Kabir Singh completes 1 year

Shahid Kapoor starrer much controversial film Kabir Singh had completed one year of release yesterday!

When the film Kabir Singh was released last year, it had caused a huge stir in the nation. A lot of controversies had surrounded the film with feminists asking for a ban. They had accused the film of promoting misogyny and toxic masculinity. Still the film received a lot of love from the audience.

Kabir Singh completed one year of its release yesterday. And on the special occasion, its leading star Shahid Kapoor penned down a special note. He wrote, “To all those who gave so much overwhelming love to such a complex, conflicted character. Thank you. #kabirsingh was never just a film to me.. it was an emotional arc that was raw.. bare.. unabashed .. honest .. fearless .. REAL!!”

He went on to take a dig at those who judged the film and criticised it. “In a time where people are quick to judge (others not themselves ) you understood him. You understood our interpretation of the angst of a broken heart. This one will always be special. So so special,” he added.

Shahid didn’t not forget to thank his team for making it possible as he wrote further, “And it would just not have been possible without @kiaraaliaadvani , @sandeepreddy.vanga , @muradkhetani and @ashwinvarde @bhushankumar @santha_dop , Payal and so so many others. Thank you all once again. And remember. Keep it real and make it count. Be kind. Be good. Spread positivity. And always believe.”

Kabir Singh was simply a blockbuster at the box office. Starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the roles of Kabir and Preeti respectively, it had won the hearts of the audience. The film was an official remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy.
