Season 3 of The Orville has been announced

Hulu has finally released the premiere date for Seth MacFarlane’s sci-fi sitcom The Orville’s third season. The futuristic sitcom, which MacFarlane developed and stars in, follows the crew of the USS Orville as they travel across space on numerous cosmic missions, navigating their difficult relationships along the way. The Orville premiered on Fox in 2017 and ended in 2019, with the second season premiering in 2019.

Renewed with Season 3

Since the show’s transition from Fox to the streaming service, Hulu has finally published a small teaser video to tease the long-awaited comeback. The Orville: New Horizons, as it is now known, is planned to premiere on March 10, 2022. Hulu intends to release episodes weekly rather than the complete third season all at once, so binge-watching will not be an option for fans eager to see the debut.

Despite the time gap and name change, the Planetary Union expects the same space-bound weirdos to return to take on missions. Adrianne Palicki, Penny Johnson Jerald, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon, Halston Sage, J. Lee, Mark Jackson, and Jessica Szohr are among the primary Orville cast members.

Orville has experienced a few setbacks. When the first season of the Star Trek spoof show was released, it got mostly negative reviews. However, in season 2, it gained its feet and built a loyal fanbase that enjoyed the more unified plot and off-beat comedy.

The show was then moved from Fox to Hulu, with season 3 production set to begin in late 2019. However, as with many other shows, the COVID-19 pandemic created significant setbacks, causing the episode to air considerably later than expected. Now is the time for The Orville to make a successful return and reunite fans with the lovable galaxy explorers.
