Sarah Paulson Reveals Realistic Transformation Into Linda Trip For American Crime Story

Sarah Paulson transformed herself into Linda Trip for her recent venture, American Crime Story: Impeachment. And the actress looked exactly like the White House employee; as she took to her social media to share the first glimpse.

The actress posted a picture of her as Linda and simply captioned it as “Linda”. She looked unrecognizable as she looked exactly like the infamous personality. The employee is the one whose recordings of Monica Lewinsky led to the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton.

Sarah shared with her followers that American Crime Story: Impeachment has begun shooting. The third installment of the series was originally going to start shooting in the spring, however, it got delayed because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The actress talked about the incredible makeup job that would require her to transform into Linda. She has previously received a Golden Globe for portraying Marcia Clark in the first American Crime Story. The People V. O.J. Simpson alum had revealed in an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and shared how it is going to require a lot of things.

Sarah shared that she will be “earing a lot of prosthetics and body transformational accouterments”. Linda was a White House employee who will not be able to watch Sarah’s depiction of her as she passed away back in April. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and died at the age of 70.

The actress also revealed that she did not get a chance to meet the former employee before she passed away. “I don’t know if I ever would have met Linda,” Sarah told Jimmy Kimmel, “or if Linda would have even been open to doing anything like that. But I got as many text messages when she passed away as if I had died or if she was my best friend.”

Sarah explained that people were like, ‘I’m so sorry to hear about Linda’ and she used to say she did not know her. She shared how weird it was; because she had been spending “so much time” reading all the books and working with a dialect coach. The Golden Globe winner said how immersed she was and shared how wild it was but it really made her sad.

Linda Tripp was a career civil servant and worked as the secretary for the military for two decades. She became an employee in the White House in 1990. Linda was in the White House for two years when Bill Clinton won and was transferred to Pentagon’s public affairs house.

Back in 1996, the former employee had met Monica, who was in an affair with the president for two-years. The duo became close and she started sharing details of the tortured affair with the married man. Linda shared this information with her literary agent who advised her to record their conversations.

The former White House employee recorded 22 hours of Monica’s confessions and handed it over to independent counsel Ken Starr. Bill was impeached for lying under the oath and for obstruction of justice. However, he was acquitted by the Senate.

Meanwhile, Linda was accused of being a duplicitous woman who betrayed her friend and was fired on her last day of Bill’s presidency. The former employee refused to resign and ran a holiday store in Virginia.
