Reese Witherspoon Celebrates 15th Anniversary Of Walk The Line

Reese Witherspoon looks back at her hit film, Walk the Line as she celebrates the 15th anniversary of the venture’s release. She shared a photo of herself along with her costar, Joaquin Phoenix.

The costars were dressed as their own characters, June Carter Cash and Johnny Cash. The actress wrote, “Wow! Today marks 15 years since the release of #WalktheLine ????.” She shared how playing the character of June was one of the most rewarding experiences she had.

Reese further added, “From the stunning costumes created by @ariannephillips to recording all of those classic country songs with T. Bone Burnett, to the incredible scenes written and directed by James Mangold, I felt completely transformed into an authentic country artist ????.”

The actress also won an Oscar for her performance in the movie released back in 2005. She went ahead to share one of the memorable moments from back then. The Morning Show star that she will never forget the proposal scene and how Joaquin looked “with the light beaming behind him asking June to marry him in front of a full audience.”

Reese ended the throwback post as she shared her gratitude for the people who worked on the movie. She wrote, “Thank you to the entire cast and crew for bringing Johnny & June’s love story to life.????.” Earlier this year, the actress had also revealed how she had to go through voice and music training to play June.

“What a memory! Preparing to play June Carter was six months of singing lessons and autoharp training,” she wrote in an Instagram post on May 14, sharing a musical clip from the movie.

The actress revealed that Joaquin and the band used to practice every day. However, despite all the practice, she was nervous to sing in front of an audience. But she notes that it was thrilling once they started. She added, “Truly an unforgettable experience I will always cherish.”
