Ranveer Singh to be a part of Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi?

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt’s next project is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi!

With the shoots resuming, Alia Bhatt is all set to be back on the sets of her film Gangubai Kathiawadi. While Sanjay Leela Bhansali is directing the film, the expectations are high with this one. It is based on Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai and will talk about the red light area of the city.

Now according to the latest reports, Ranveer Singh too might be a part of the film. He had earlier worked with Alia in the film Gully Boy. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “It’s a very powerful cameo. And Ranveer can’t say no to Sanjay Leela Bhansali…Ever! On top of that, the film has Alia Bhatt in the lead. Alia and Ranveer have shared a special rapport from the time they worked together in Gully Boy. So Ranveer has absolutely no reason to decline the offer.”

However, nothing has been confirmed by the team of the film or Ranveer yet. But if it happens, that’s surely one cameo that we are looking forward to.

Meanwhile, Bhansali is ready to resume shooting of his film from the later half of July. Earlier there were reports that he had ordered the demolition of the sets of his film in the film city. Apparently, the cost of maintenance was getting too much. However, now with things getting back to normal, the shoot should complete soon.

A source told Mid Day about the shoot, “Thirty per cent of the film’s shoot remains. A part of the film’s set is standing in Film City and will probably be the only venue for the remaining shoot. With work in the post-COVID world moving slowly, the team is looking for a month-long schedule to wrap up the project by August end.”
