PewDiePe Not Impressed By The Korean Netflix Series Squid Game

Squid Game has been dominating the Netflix Top 10 charts since it’s release. It has garnered millions of fans following weeks after its release but YouTuber PewDiePie is certainly not one of them.

The Netflix K-Drama series Squid Game rose to popularity because of its exciting storyline and thrilling challenges. However, PewDiePie reveals the reasons why he think it is not that great of a series.

PewDiePie Talks About Squid Game

The YouTuber recently advised one of his fans to not drop out of college to pursue his video-making career.

The YouTuber has pointed out one glaring flaw in the Squid Game series in his latest video. In the video, PewDiePie is seen playing the Roblox-version of Squid Game.

“Why is no one talking about how Squid Game is like ripping off all these animes. Like Kaiji and Liar Game, ain’t nothing new! Right?!” the YouTuber begins as he shows pictures of the Netflix drama side-by-side to the anime series.

Pointing out the most glaring flaw, PewDiePie says “Plus, what was fun about those shows was the fact that the protagonist was actually kind of smart.”

“I don’t know how it changes. I’ve only watched a few episodes of Squid Game.”

‘I Am So Confused’

PewDiePie also played the viral ‘honeycomb’ game and had words of appreciation for it.

“I am SO CONFUSED playing a child’s game!” he yelled. Despite his critical take, the content creator couldn’t get enough of the Roblox re-creation. “That was Squid Game. Very fun! I actually enjoyed myself.” Who knows, perhaps PewDiePie could come around to loving the show once he makes it to the end of it.
