Paris Hilton to Get Candid About A Traumatic Childhood Incident in YouTube Documentary

Paris Hilton is set to discuss a traumatic childhood experience for the very first time in a new documentary set to air on her YouTube channel.

“It’s something very personal, and not something I like talking about”

The YouTube Originals documentary, This Is Paris, will reveal a new side of the socialite and reality TV icon. In the short clip, Paris is seen preparing herself to discuss the mental abuse that she underwent as a teenager at a boarding school in Utah.

The visibly anxious model confesses, “I’m nervous, I’m shaking. It’s hard to even eat, because my stomach is just like, turning. I don’t know. It’s something that’s very personal, and not something I like talking about.”

“I still have nightmares about it”

Paris goes on to reveal, “No one really knows who I am. Something happened in my childhood that I’ve never talked about with anyone,” she says with discomfort written all over her face. “I still have nightmares about it,” the actress confesses referring to the traumatic incident.

According to the documentary’s official description, “This Is Paris uncovers the hidden past of the international icon. Paris confronts the heartbreaking trauma that forged who she is today. This deeply compelling portrait tells the real story of a teenage girl desperate to escape into a fantasy. It also sheds new light on the insta-fame culture that Paris helped to create.”

According to reports and insiders, her sister, Nicky Rothschild Hilton and their mother, Kathy Hilton will also be appearing in the film. This Is Paris has been directed by Emmy-winning talent, Alexandra Dean and produced by Industrial Media’s The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC).

“People are going to see a different side to me than they’ve ever seen before,”

So far there haven’t been many updates on what fans can expect from the documentary. However, During an appearance on The Talk in early March, The Simple Life star confessed that filming the documentary over the course of a year was ‘very therapeutic’ for her.

“I became so close with the director, and she really asked me so many questions,” Hilton said. “I started thinking about my past and what I’ve been through and realized just how much it’s affected my life. And how I was holding on to so much trauma for so long. I think when people see this film, they’re really going to see a different side to me than they’ve ever seen before,” she continued. “Because I honestly didn’t even know who I was up until this year. I really learned a lot about myself through this film.”

Initial Delay and Newly Scheduled Launch Date

The 38-year-old actress’s new movie was supposed to debut at the Tribeca Film Festival in May, after which it was scheduled for a theater release. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, Hilton decided ‘it was best to wait’ and hence the project was delayed. This Is Paris is now set to premiere, September 14 on Hilton’s YouTube Channel.

Fans will most likely get their latest updates on the documentary, When Paris Hilton will go on Jimmy Kimmel Live, along with guest host, Nikki Glaser later today. The businesswoman has revealed that she will be talking about her latest project with the host.
