Megan Thee Stallion “Grateful to Be Alive” After Suffering Multiple Gunshot Wounds

Over the weekend, it was reported that Tory Lanez was arrested and Megan Thee Stallion was present in the car at the time of the Hollywood Hills incident.

It had been reported that she had cut her foot on broken glass during the episode, however, Megan took to Instagram on Wednesday to “set the record straight.” At the time of the incident, the LAPD reported that one person was taken to the hospital “with a foot injury”. Megan has now clarified that her injury was not from broken glass but gunshot wounds.

“I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me”

Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, told her 12.5 million followers, “The narrative that is being reported about Sunday morning’s events are inaccurate. And I’d like to set the record straight,” she wrote in a note shared on Instagram. “On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me. And done with the intention to physically harm me. I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets.”

The video of the incident posted by TMZ showed a woman identified as the rapper limping out of a vehicle, leaving blood marks from one foot. Megan however has not identified who fired the shots that injured her.

“I’m incredibly grateful to be alive, and I’m expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night,” she continued. “I’m currently focused on my recovery, so I can return back to my life and back to making music as soon as possible.” In the caption for the note, she added, “This whole experience was an eye opener and a blessing in disguise. I hate that it took this experience for me to learn how to protect my energy.”

The Hollywood Hills Incident

The incident reportedly began in the early hours of Sunday, when an argument erupted between people in an SUV. Police obtained a description of the vehicle, and later found it with Tory, Megan and her friend, Kelsey Nicole inside. Tory Lanez was then arrested for having a concealed weapon in the vehicle. Four shell casings were found by authorities near the home where the altercation took place. Lanez was released on Sunday on a $35,000 bond. He is currently scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 13.

“I wasn’t the one with the gun and I would never do something like that”

Kelsey Nicole has since taken to Instagram to confirm that she was present at the scene. Nicole also took a moment to address rumors saying she shot Megan. She wrote, “I want to address rumors that I shot Megan. I wasn’t the one with the gun and I would never do something like that. However I was present.”

Prior to the incident, Both Tory Lanez and Megan Thee stallion attended a party at Kylie Jenner’s house. Megan even posted a video of the three of them lounging in a pool. Not long after, they were interrupted by an unseen man off-screen telling them that the music had to be turned down because “PD are here.”

Some reports have speculated Kylie to be present at the scene too, however, Jenner’s representative confirmed, “She was not in the car.”
