Kris Jenner Cheekily Wishes ‘Favorite Daughter,’ Jennifer Lawrence a Happy 30th Birthday

Hunger Games actress, Jennifer Lawrence, rang in her 30th birthday on Saturday, August 15. And Lawrence got a birthday tribute from none other than Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, Kris Jenner.

Jenner marked the occasion by posting a series of throwback photos with the birthday girl. “Happy birthday Jen!!!” the momager wrote on her Instagram Story.

“You are the most amazing girlfriend, wife, daughter and my favorite daughter today”

The first snap was the now-infamous photo of the two “caught in bed” back in 2015, when they met for the first time.

In another picture Jennifer hugged Kris from behind and gave her a big kiss on the cheek as they sat together on a chaise lounge chair. “You are the most amazing girlfriend, wife, daughter and my favorite daughter today!!!!!” the mom of six gushed in her birthday message.

“Thank you for your friendship, love, and so much laughter my sides hurt……” Jenner continued on the third slide, before concluding on the last one, “I love you so much!! #love #family #memories #friendship. ????.”

“I drank five martinis and wound up naked in her closet”

Ardent fans already know that the duo have been close friends for a long time now. Especially, since their friendship has been so well documented. It all began with an hilariously infamous incident in which Lawrence had gotten drunk and stripped down to nearly nothing in Jenner’s closet.

Jennifer has actually fully ingratiated herself with the KUWTK family and even interviewed Kim Kardashian in 2017 while guest-hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live!. During that segment Jennifer and Kim dished about a dinner party at Kris’ house that occurred only a couple of weeks before.

“I drank five martinis and wound up naked in her closet, I’m dead serious,” Lawrence confessed. “I’ve never seen my mom more drunk in our lives, ” said Kim, shortly before footage played of Kris and Jennifer dancing together while holding martinis.

Jennifer added, recalling the night, “I remember getting naked in your mom’s closet and ordering you to dress me. You dressed me fabulously,’ Jennifer dished. She later added that the evening “was everything I could’ve ever dreamed of.”

Jenner confirmed Lawrence’s story a few weeks later during an appearance on Steve Harvey’s talk show. “She had some time off and I invited her over for dinner,” Jenner said. “We started having a few cocktails and we were having so much fun. And so you know, as girls do when they all get together, we ended up in my closet. Looking at clothes and some stuff when she started trying some stuff on,” she continued, adding, “She just took off her jeans and went for it.”

How their friendship came to be

As for how they went from strangers to fast friends, Jenner explained that since Lawrence is such a huge fan of KUWTK, Kris agreed to surprise the actress with her birthday cake a few years back. “She was a big Keeping Up With the Kardashians fan,” Kris told Steve Harvey on Steve On Watch.

“Somebody from her team called me up and said, ‘Would you surprise Jennifer on her birthday and give her a birthday cake, like you’ll be the surprise.’ When I walked out with this cake, she was so excited… and we’ve had this little texting friendship from then on,” she said. “It was fun. She’s such a great girl.” In December of 2017 after Kris casually said she wanted a Porsche for Christmas, Jennifer presented her with a toy version of the sports car as a gag.

The duo clearly share a mutual fondness for each other. So much so, that Kris was also one of the A-listers invited to Lawrence’s wedding last year. Back in October 2019, Jennifer and Cooke Maroney tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Newport, Rhode Island.
