Kris Jenner on the Decision to End KUWTK & Which Family Member Is Taking It the Hardest

On Wednesday, Kris Jenner opened up about the recent decision of ending Keeping Up With The Kardashians with Season 20. The matriarch called in to reveal it  On Air With Ryan Seacrest.

The momager felt emotional and said, “You’re going to make me cry all over again.” She revealed to the creator of KUWTK and radio host Ryan Seacrest that the decision still hasn’t sunk into her mind.

“It’s funny when we talked yesterday, I kinda had my wits about me and I thought I was really strong. And, you know, this is the right decision,” she continued. Kris recalled the first time the creator and she sat down and did an interview on air. She said she was so excited but also nervous at the time.

The momager said that memory is very, very emotional for her. Ryan is the creator and executive producer for the longtime E! docu-series, Keeping Up With The Kardashians. It features the entire Kar-Jenner clan which includes Kim Kardashian West, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner. The show also features Scott Disick, Rob Kardashian.

Kris revealed that the family is still processing the decision to end the show. The momager relayed, “I woke up and was in the gym at 5 o’clock with Khloé and Kim, and we just kind of sat there and looked at each other. And said, ‘Whoa, what a ride.’ It was quite the morning.”

She reveals that she and her family come from a place of gratitude and are really grateful for every single moment. Kris says KUWTK will be the best home movies they have ever made. However, when asked about why they decided to end it, the momager said it is the right time.

“I think the number 20, well it used to sound good until 2020, but the number 20, it just seemed like the right time,” the KUWTK matriarch explained. She said they need to take a break and slow down. The momager clarifies that professionally they will not slow down, but just figuring out where they go from here.

Kris expressed her gratitude for every single moment and for everyone they work with. The show is reported to end with season 20 in 2021. However, one family member is taking the decision the hardest. Kris revealed that they had to inform the crew about their decision because of which they were all crying.

The matriarch, however, said that Khloe is taking it the hardest and she hasn’t stopped crying since they announced it. Kris said, “She’s been so sweet and just emotional about it”. She said it is really hard on them to make this decision and it is an emotional time for them as a family.

KUWTK has been on the air for 14 years and would conclude with season 20 in 2021. In an Instagram post shared with her 188 million followers on Tuesday, Kim Kardashian West released a heartfelt statement on behalf of herself and her entire family. This included matriarch Kris Jenner, Sisters Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian; Kylie, and Kendall Jenner, Brother Rob Kardashian, and Kourtney’s ex, Scott Disick.

“To our amazing fans,” the letter addressed, “It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” the statement began.

Kim went on to thank the show’s loyal fans and followers for being an incredibly supportive audience, who stuck by them throughout their ups and downs over the years. “After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes, and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years.”

She continued, “Through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children. We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way.”

The KUWTK family also thanked “the thousands of individuals and businesses” that played a role in helping make the show. They also gave a special well-deserving shout out to Ryan Seacrest. As well as their production team at Bunim/Murray for spending countless hours documenting their lives. As for news regarding the final season, It is all set to hit screens “early next year in 2021.”

In a self-reflective statement, the KKW entrepreneur revealed how incredibly grateful she was of the love and support she received all these years. “Without Keeping Up with The Kardashians, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years,” said the 39-year-old.

She went on to admit, “This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever”. The social media personality concluded her message signing off, “With Love and Gratitude, Kim.”
