Indian Media Thinks Mehwish Hayat Has ‘Close Links’ With Dawood Ibrahim

Indian Media is always coming up with different controversies and ideas to defame Pakistan. From staging terrorist attacks to breaking down our trees during alleged airstrikes. We have seen it all, and as a matter of fact, Indian media never fails to amuse us,

However, this time India took it too far. Apparently, Indian journalists believe that Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat is actually linked with the Fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

Mehwish Hayat Claps Back At Indian Media For Linking Her To Daud Ibrahim

Now, for this, we truly want to give the Indian media some credit. Creativity went a tad bit too far with this statement. Besides isn’t it ironic that somehow one way or another India feels obligated to bring Pakistanis in the mix? Perhaps, Indian media sees Pakistan as the toxic partner we get to see in their romantic comedy films.

Mehwish Hayat schools Indian media like a boss!

The actual aspect that let us made us roll over with laughter is how our Desi Queen Mehwish Hayat responded after such absurd and completely irrelevant allegations. Taking to Twitter she schooled Indian Media in the classiest way possible,

In addition to that, Hayat reminded India about how just absurd tabloid news isn’t going to stop her from calling them out on the atrocities in Kashmir.

In another tweet, Hayat added jokingly that if Indian media really wishes to link her with a profound personality; it should be ‘Leonardo DiCaprio’, and isn’t she adorable?

However, if we look at this entire scenario subjectively, this isn’t the first time Indian media is portraying Pakistan poorly. As a matter of fact, it has become an everyday norm to make Pakistanis look bad. Albeit, we do give them credit for trying because despite the dark times in the world, their creativity sure does make us smile.

Even Indian celebrities like Kangana Ranaut is often seen looking at ways to pull Pakistan in her debate. Perhaps it’s a form of the complex disorder that Indians have with Pakistanis.

All in all, it seems that both India and Pakistan are always going to be in a complex battle of differences with each other. But what we are hopeful for is how Indian media will keep on entertaining us with their notorious claims and hilarious stunts.

Mehwish Hayat (born 6 January 1983) is a Pakistani film actress:

who is known for her roles in Load Wedding, Punjab Nahi Jaungi and Actor in Law. She was honoured by the Government of Pakistan with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2019.

The 2012 blockbuster romance serial Meray Qatil Meray Dildar marked a significant turning point in Hayat’s career, earning her praise and nomination for Best actress at Lux Style Awards. She later won the Lux Style Awards for Best television Actress for her portrayal of a strong headed in Kashif Nisar’s acclaim series Kami Reh Gayi (2013).

She achieved further success by featuring as the female lead in four of Momina Duraid’s romantic dramas—Phir Chand Pe Dastak (2011), Mirat-ul-Uroos (2012), Ishq Mein Teray (2013), Ru Baru (2014) and Anjum Shahzad’s highly successful family drama Kabhi Kabhi (2013) and Nadeem Baig’s Dil Lagi (2016).

Hayat was born on 6 January 1983 in Karachi.

Her mother, Rukhsar Hayat, was a popular television actress during the 1980s, her eldest brother Zeeshan is a singer-composer while her older sister, Afsheen, is a singer as well. Another older brother, Danish Hayat, is an actor and, through him, she’s the sister-in-law of Faiza Ashfaq, a model.

Women working in the film industry and “show business” are no strangers to sexist trolling and rumour-mongering. And when it comes to actresses’s in Pakistan where women are still struggling to be seen as as equals, every day can mean a no controversy.

So it seems is the case with 37-year-old Pakistani actress and celebrity Mehwish Hayat, who is now being called gangster Dawwod Ibrahim’s “girlfriend”

37-year-old Hayat started her acting career in Pakistan in 2009 with a film called ‘Insha Allah’. But her career really began with television in 2010 and she went on to become a household name after her role in the hit 2012 romantic serial ‘Meray Qatil Meray Dildar’.

Hayat started acting in films again since 2014 and has since acted in a number of hit Pakistani films such as ‘Actor in Law’, ‘Punjab Nahin Jaungi’ and the more recent ‘Load Wedding’.

Popular for her roles and appearances in dance videos, the actress is presently one of the most successful actresses in Pakistan with two Lux Style Awards under her belt. In 2019, the actress was awarded the ‘Tamgha-i-Imtiaz’ – one of Pakistan’s greatest (fourth-highest) civilian honours, to commemorate her achievements and contribution to cinema.

Despite her accolades in the film industry, Hayat is no stranger to trolling and controversy. Be it for her appearnces in dance videos, her stand of women’s rights or her recent winning of the the ‘Tamgha-i-Imtiaz’ award, Hayat is always in the ete of a storm.

Following the award, several conservative voices in Pakistani public sphere questioned the actress’s credibility and achievements. Many made insinuations that Hayat got the award not for her roles but due to her ‘connections’ in the film industry.

The actress has time and again responded to such trolls and gossip websites, slamming trolls and calling out the sexist attitude of the country’s media and politicians who constantly supported anti-woman agendas.

Hayat is unmarried and has no reported flings or past relationships. And yet, recently a media report regarding her alleged connections to Dawood Ibramhim has been doing the rounds on Indian and Pakistani media. As per reports by DNA and Zee News, wanted gangster Dawood –

who is known to have an interest in films – took a shining to the actress some years ago after he spotted her in an “item song”. The report also mentioned that the gangster has since funded severeal of her films or used his influence to get her roles.

The reports have once again set the rumour mills churning with several critics and trolls claiming Dawood was the reason for her ‘Tamgha-i-Imtiaz’ award. Apart from these reports, which the reports have attributed to “sources”, no other evidenvce of the actress’s alleged relationship with Dawood exists.
