Hugh Jackman shows his tap dancing skills in a practise video to celebrate National Dance Day

Hugh Jackman has shared a behind-the-scenes rehearsal video from his Broadway production The Music Man, in which the Logan star honed his tap-dancing abilities for the performance’s climax! In honour of National Dance Day in the United States, Jackman, 52, showed his professional abilities while thanking his choreographer.

While sharing the video, Jackman wrote, “Here’s a preview of a little something Warren Carlyle and I are working on for the conclusion of The Music Man on Broadway.” The actor stated that he has been trying for a long time to “get this sequence correct,” but that he is still practising to get it perfect. In the video, Jackman is seen carefully practising some serious footwork while his choreographer advises him during the delivery.

In his long paragraph about National Dance Day, Jackman mocked his skills as a dancer and musician! “I don’t have a music degree, so he [Jackman’s choreographer] claps beats for me,” the actor explains, adding that he is really pleased when the choreographer “yells ‘yes’” after Jackman completes a piece correctly. Fans congratulated Jackman on the opening of his Broadway play in the comments section.

Jackman gave shoutouts to the performances that are debuting soon after sharing his delight about Broadway shows reopening after a year and a half. “Broadway’s beating heart is back and stronger than ever! While preparing for his Broadway production The Music Man, Jackman remarked, “I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
