Grey’s Anatomy Season 18: All You Need To Know

Grey’s Anatomy had to cut short its previous season because of COVID-19 and the upcoming season might also not have as many episodes. The last season was revolving around telling the stories of the frontline heroes and fan-favourite, Meredith Grey who was fighting the virus.

This season 18 will revolve around life after the pandemic and how it affected relationships at work and at home. The show will also have many crossover episodes with its spin-off firefighters’ series, Station 19. Season 18 is set to premiere this Thursday on September 30 at 9.00 pm on ABC.

The show will air a crossover episode with Station 19 season 5. Fans can watch the show on ABC’s local station or they can choose any other TV streaming services. Platforms like Fubo TV, Hulu with Live TV, and Youtube TV will have the episodes. They can also stream it with the network’s site itself. The latest episode will be available the next day on Hulu as well.

Grey’s Anatomy season 18 will see some familiar faces from before. The former cast member Kate Walsh will be joining the cast this time. She used to portray the character of Dr. Addison Monthgomery in the earlier seasons of Grey’s. The actress had acquired her own series later which is why she left the show. It was the spin-off of Grey’s Anatomy called Private Practice.

Kate said, “Dr. Addison Montgomery is coming back to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, and I’m so excited to be home again joining Shonda [Rhimes], Ellen [Pompeo], and the rest of the incredible cast.” She will be joined by Abigail Spencer who played Dr. Owen Hunt’s sister Megan and Kate Burton who played Meredith’s late mother.

The channel dropped a new promo clip for season 18 which hinted at a new character that will enter Meredith’s life. This character has a connection with her mother, Ellis Grey.
