Emma Stone Recalls Sitting Next To Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

Emma Stone shared her first-ever Golden Globes experience and told us how unlucky we are. The actress appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon as she looked back at the time when she was nominated for Best Actress- Comedy or Musical category back in 2011.

She was nominated for her role in Easy A and she had attended the award show with her mother. The actress recalls that she was seated to the once iconic couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. The former couple was still married back in the day.

Emma shared that it was the first time she was going to the Golden Globes and it was exciting for her. She said, “It was very, very, very exciting so I took my mom with me. We sat next to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. We were like, ‘Of all people to be sitting next to at that kind of a show, whoa.'”

The actress revealed that her mother had a little more that night as she started chatting with Angelina. She shared that her mother never drinks, however, she chose to have champagne that night which the actress said was not the best idea. The La La Land actress said her mother had a “wonderful time”.

Emma shared, “[My mom] started asking Angelina Jolie like, ‘Do you have kids?’ And I was like, ‘You’ve gotta be out [of your mind].’ She completely knew, but she was making small talk. ‘How old are they? What are their names?’ She knew everything.” However, the actress recalled that the former couple were extremely good to them.

Emma Hints At Wanting A Family

She described them as nice and shared that they had a blast. The actress said, “That was a very fun night.” Emma had recently talked about her recent movie, The Croods: A New Age, and starting her own family.

The actress had hinted at the time, about wanting to have a family of her own. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she was promoting her animated movie, The Croods: A New Age.

The actress voices a member of the prehistoric Crood family and revealed how she feels pretty good about starting her own “pack”. She voices the character of Eep in the movie. The Oscar-winning actress shared that her family might act differently than the characters in Croods.

Emma said, “I don’t think that my pack would be quite as physically capable as the Croods are.” She further described the characters as “rough and tumble” and said that her pack would not be as rough and tumble as them.

The actress recently tied the knot with comedian Dave McCary secretly after announcing their engagement last December. Their nuptials were only revealed two weeks after Emma was spotted wearing matching bands with Dave. The actress was out on a walk with her now-husband in Los Angeles.

The couple had to postpone their wedding in March because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The announcement of their engagement was done by an Instagram photo by Dave back in December 2019. Both Dave and Emma were smiling away as Dave held up Emma’s engagement ring.

Dave and Emma had met when the actress was hosting Saturday Night Live back in 2016 and have been together ever since. A source had revealed last December that Emma is professional in every way and she is talented, focused on her work. Dave respects that and supports her, according to the source.

The insider added, “He totally supports her, and is unselfish in his desire for her success. Those are great qualities in a man for someone like Emma. She is impressed by his talent and respects him immensely.”
