Dominic West To Play Prince Charles In Final Seasons of The Crown

Dominic West is set to play the role of Prince Charles in the final two seasons of The Crown. The actor will portray Prince Charles in the last seasons which focuses on the Prince’s affair with Camilla Parker Bowles.

The casting comes days after the actor was seen kissing Lily James during a trip to Rome. An insider of the show told The Sun, “Show bosses looked at several stars for the sought-after role, but he was by far their preferred actor.” The insider reveals that both parties are trying to make a deal.

The irony of the casting of Dominic in the role of Prince Charles, while he is cheating, will not be lost on anyone, according to the insider. Lily had recently broken up from Matt Smith, who played the younger version of the Duke of Edinburgh in the early seasons.

The couple had made their efforts to rekindle their romance during the lockdown. However, they decided to go their separate ways after five years of dating.

There were reports of Lily and Dominic being all over each other at the airport. The actor had staged a reunion scene with his wife, Catherine FitzGerald. They also hinted that they are very much together as his wife held up a paper that read, “Our marriage is strong and we’re very much still together. Thank you.”

The married couple hugged and kissed each other in front of all the cameras showing that they are still together. However, Dominic had hidden his left hand inside his coat, speculating if he was wearing a wedding ring.

An eyewitness claimed that they witnessed Dominic being rather cozy with Lily in front of other passengers. The pictures came out days later after they were seen kissing at a restaurant.
