Old enemies Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have been very vocal about their distasteful towards each other. Their fights have been pretty public. I mean, remember the time Cardi hurled her show during a New York Fashion Week at Nicki?
However, rumors have it that the two might have finally buried their hate for each other. According to the rumors, Nicki and Cardi are currently working on a collaboration called ‘Lavish‘. There is no proof that the news is absolutely true.
The rumors came to rise when the WAP singer took to her social media handle to tease her upcoming collab which will make people mad. Fans were quick to speculate that it was either Nicki or Offset. But Nicki Minaj was the obvious guess and probably the collab which will blow up.
Taking to Twitter on October 8th, she wrote, “Since ya mad ..imma give ya something mad to be about …..This next single and coll- ….Gonna have ya sick …since ya here.”
Both the rappers have received plenty of attention with fans also rooting for their favorite artist. After the 2018 brawl, the two artists seemed to have gone their separate ways. Cardi seemed to have went on record and ended their beef back in August.
In an interview with Apple Music, the rapper shared how female rappers took the control of the music scene when she was growing up. Cardi said that when she was young, female rappers were few and far between. However, she said there was one female rapper that dominated for a very long time.
Cardi And Megan’s WAP Made History
The WAP singer did not name Nicki but there might be a possibility that she was referring to the rapper. Cardi has received immense success and popularity for her last release, WAP. he had collaborated with none other than Megan Thee Stallion.
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion were over the moon as they took to Instagram to inform everybody that their song WAP is number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
WAP debuted at 93 million U.S. streams, the most for a song’s opening week in history. Cardi gushed about the same fact and told her followers to look. She posted a video reading the tweets with impressive stats. WAP has the biggest sales week in 2020 and holds the number one position on the digital song sales chart.
“I’m gonna get glammed up and I’m gonna give you a testimony,” she continued. “I want to say thank you so much Megan Thee Stallion. I hope you’re as happy as I am.” The rapper captioned the video saying this is the fourth time she is on number one on Billboard. She said she is thankful and wants to hug the Lord. Cardi gushes, “Thank you soo much @theestallion.I don’t even know how to thank you, I wish I can give you a big a** hug!!!”
She further thanked her fans and Megan’s fans and the world for listening to her song. The rapper continued, “I’m just soooo thankful I can’t even type it. Imma get like a bad b**ch and tell ya later. Love ya WAAAAAAAPP”
Cardi And Megan’s Excitement
Cardi also had a second post where she shared screenshots of the tweets she was reading from. “Breaking pop records! HIP HOP DID THAT!! I’m sooo f**kin happy,” she wrote. The rapper continued saying she is very happy and that she did not expect this. She further thanks Megan and says she is going to get drunk early.
Megan also expressed her happiness via Instagram and revealed she and Cardi were screaming on the phone. “FIRST FEMALE RAP COLLABORATION IN HISTORY TO DEBUT AT NUMBER 1. God is so great THANK YALL!!!,” she wrote. “@iamcardib thank you for all your words of encouragement, thank you for all the laughs, & thank you for having me on the record #WAP”
Cardi and Megan debuted the track earlier this month, with a star-studded music video that featured Kylie Jenner, Normani, and more. The song met with a lot of controversies but Cardi was more than happy because it meant people are listening to it more.
Although the WAP music video was a superhit and was trending for a long time, it didn’t happen without a cost. Health was a priority before shooting the very steamy music video.
Cardi B revealed in an interview with i-D on Thursday that it was essential for everyone to be tested for Covid-19. She explained that it was weird to shoot during corona. The rapper said they had to spend $100,000 just on testing. She confirmed that everybody had to get tested for the virus.
