Caitlynn Jenner Is In Talks To Join ‘Sex and the City’ Revival
Caitlynn Jenner is reportedly one of the choices for making a cameo in the highly anticipated Sex and the City reboot. Fans might be seeing the reality star on their screens along with their favorite characters.
The transgender icon is at the top of the choices for making a cameo in the show’s future reboot. According to The Mirror, the show is trying its best to make it more diverse than the original show and films. Both the series and the films were criticized for not being inclusive which makes the people in charge want to make certain decisions.
A source told the outlet that Caitlynn has been a “media fixture” in one way or another for a total of 50 years now. According to the source she is perfect for the cameo appearance as they want new faces for the show. They also want viewers to know that they care about it too.
This exciting news comes just a week after the reboot of Sex and the City was announced. The new revival is taking place after more than 20 years since the original show premiered. This will feature ten episodes on HBO Max and will also include three of the four main lead actresses.
The revival includes Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis. Sarah confirmed that Kim Cattrall will not be part of the revival playing her role Samantha Jones in the series. She will not be returning for the revival and Sarah also revealed there are no hard feelings between them.

“There were wonderful times and not so wonderful times with Sex and the City“
“No. I don’t dislike her. I’ve never said that. Never would. Samantha isn’t part of this story. But she will always be part of us. No matter where we are or what we do,” she wrote in response to a fan who brought Kim up on Instagram.
The original series ran for six seasons and had a total of 94 episodes from 1998 up until 2004. It was then followed up by two feature films in both 2008 and 2010. The ladies had come together in April last year to celebrate New York’s healthcare workers amid the coronavirus pandemic. That is when rumors of a possible third movie started doing the rounds but they turned out to be false.
“There will be no progress on a third Sex And The City with the ladies because there is still lots of animosity between them all,” an insider claimed at the time. The insider continued as they revealed that Kim has moved on and is very excited for her new FOX show.
According to the insider, the actress sees her career taking a completely different turn moving forward. The insider shared, “There were wonderful times and not so wonderful times with Sex (and the City); and the same issues still stand between Kim and Sarah so it is best to leave the past the past. They all know they will forever be linked to the show and each other but they also know when it is time to move on and now is that time.”
However, a year later now we have the exciting revival coming up really soon as the three ladies are on board.
